This 1975 Mercedes-Benz Unimog TYP 411 was purchased four years ago by the current owner and seller from a retired military officer in Portugal as part of a multi-car deal and not many records were passed on for this Unimog to the current owner. It’s currently offered for sale by the current owner in Dubai, UAE. The Unimog is finished in Olive Drab Green over a matching cabin showing green canvas seats and power is provided by an OM636 1.8L 4-Cylinder diesel paired to a six-speed manual transmission driving all four wheels. The odometer currently shows 17k kilometers (~10k miles) and notable features include a canvas soft top, new wood bed with folding sides, a spare tire and winch in the rear, and a Werner winch mounted to the front bumper. This Unimog is now being offered by the seller with the original toolkit, factory literature, one key, and a clean UAE title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in Olive Drab Green and features paint-matched bumpers, steps, and a wood-finished rear loadspace and bed. The wood in the bed has recently been replaced and the cab has received paintwork previously. The Green canvas soft top presents well with no rips or tears and can be removed to expose the interior of the cab. Notable exterior features include paint-matched metal bumpers and fender farings, dual rear view mirrors, glass headlamps and side markers, a snorkel, and a Werner winch mounted to the front bumper.
Original steel wheels are shown wearing factory-spec Nylon Firestone tires. The wheels are paint matched with original tread rounds shown on the front. A spare wheel and tire are mounted in the bed behind the winch.
In the cabin, the seats are upholstered in green canvas with a dashboard and floor pans painted in Olive Green. The original plate above the gear selector displays shift patterns and at the top of the dashboard a clear reservoir labeled “kuhlwasser” indicates coolant level. Dark Gray carpets have been cut and placed for floor mats.
The black three-spoke steering wheel frames a dashboard displaying gauges showing speed, coolant temperature, and fuel level. Other indicators include several warning and indicator lights, and a “salt shaker” glow indicator for glow plugs. The analog odometer shows 17k kilometers (~10k miles).
The 1.8-liter OM636 four-cylinder diesel is rated at 32 horsepower and 75 lb-ft of torque from the factory. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. An oil change was performed in the last year and the truck reportedly operates as it should.
This Unimog is now being offered by the seller with the factory toolkit, factory literature, one key, and a clean UAE title in the seller’s name.

Looks like a fun toy to have around. I can think of more than a few uses for rig like this! Are the winches tested and known to work properly?
