The MB Market is a Mercedes-exclusive auction site that provides a focused platform for both buyers and sellers. We provide insight and analysis on the current Mercedes-Benz market and provide brand-knowledgeable listings for each vehicle.
Technology has changed the way we buy and sell vehicles. Online listings have become the industry standard and often, other auction sites overlook details specific to these vehicles. In addition, many listings get lost in the shuffle, negatively affecting the final value. Rely on the expertise of The MB Market to help ensure your Mercedes-Benz is given fair and accurate representation.
There are many platforms to buy and sell vehicles today. The MB Market offers a focused advantage over other websites. Below are just a few of our benefits:Why The MB Market?
The MB Market is an enthusiast-focused auction site for Mercedes-Benz. To place bids or contact sellers, you must first Register To Bid. We require a valid credit card and contact information, but no fees will be charged unless you win an auction.
When you place a bid on a vehicle, you’re agreeing to buy that car, should you end up as the high bidder. Our auctions are written comprehensively and unbiasedly so we take care of a good portion of the due diligence but still encourage all bidders to do their own due diligence prior to bidding. In addition, our community is able to come together over cars and lend insight, knowledge, and advice through comments. Auction comments are also a great way to ask the seller questions about the vehicle in your due diligence process or ask for photos/additional information. If you don’t plan on purchasing a particular vehicle, do not bid as you could very well end up being the high bidder.
If you are the high bidder, The MB Market will charge 4.5% of the final bid price as the buyer’s fee, on top of the winning bid amount. The buyer's fee will have a minimum of $225, and will be capped at $4,500 no matter how high the winning bid. When you place a bid on a vehicle, a hold is placed on your credit card in the amount equal to the buyer’s premium (4.5% of the bid amount). When the auction ends, the holds are released for all bidders except the winner, who is charged the buyer’s fee. For this reason, we require a valid credit card for all bidders up front prior to the ability to bid on vehicles through The MB Market. All bids on The MB Market are binding and there are no refunds.
At the conclusion of an auction, you’ll be given the seller’s contact information, and they will receive yours, in order to allow you and the seller to finalize the transaction and arrange logistics.
Selling a car on The MB Market requires the seller to either create a profile or log in to their existing profile with The MB Market. In our easy-to-navigate process, we ask you to send us details on the car you want to sell. These details include all the basics such as condition, mileage, and title status but also ask about the car's service and ownership history. The fee to sell a car on The MB Market is $49 for no reserve auctions and returning sellers while first time sellers pay $89. Fees are only charged after your submission has been accepted. Once you submit a car to The MB Market, you’ll hear back on whether or not that car has been accepted within 24-48 hours.
When you submit a car, you can choose whether you want to set a reserve price or if you want your vehicle to be sold with no reserve. If you choose a reserve auction, we’ll ask you what you want the reserve to be, but please keep in mind we may ask you to adjust that reserve based on fair market value. If you do sell a car on The MB Market, your car may not be listed anywhere else. Dealers will be able to display the car on their website but with a description from The MB Market and a link to the auction page.
During the auction, sellers will be encouraged to answer questions by commenters and bidders. Auctions are most successful when questions are answered thoroughly and honestly. Provide photos when asked, and do your best to be upfront about your car's condition.
At the conclusion of an auction, you’ll be given the buyer’s contact information and they will receive yours, in order to allow you and the buyer to finalize the transaction and arrange logistics.
Each auction has a comments section where bidders and spectators may discuss the car, ask questions, and share knowledge. We encourage all users to participate even if you don’t plan on buying the car. Comments help educate the community and keep auctions fair and transparent.
For no-reserve auctions and returning sellers we charge $49. For first time sellers with a reserve, the fee is $89. There are no other fees or charges associated with selling on The MB Market.

A reserve is the decided upon minimum price that a vehicle will sell for. We work with sellers to set reasonable reserves, and try to avoid vehicles with reserves that are not realistic. Reserve values are not shown on the listing and we do not announce when reserves have been met.
