This Mercedes-Benz glass panoramic removable hardtop is finished in Black (040) and was built for use on 1990-2002 R129 series cars of the era. The top features a steel frame, a glass panoramic roof with a retractable sunshade, glass windows, and beige vinyl trim. This R129 SL hardtop is now offered from the seller in California with a rolling hardtop stand.
The top is finished in Black (040) and features a panoramic glass roof and glass windows with painted steel bodywork along the frame. The original Alarm Code stickers from the factory are present on the side windows and visible in the gallery below. Each glass panel retains its original factory insignia and no chips or scratches in the glass are present according to the seller.
The interior of the top features a retractable sunshade and grab handles on both the driver and passenger sides. The sunshade operates smoothly and extends/retracts as designed without issue. The seller notes that the rubber around one of the rear piston seals is frayed. A photo of the area is included below.
The non-glass interior surfaces are trimmed in Beige vinyl and present in good condition with no separation from the frame. Additional photos showing the condition of the interior surfaces are provided in the gallery. The top has been tested and all latch points operate correctly when mated with an R129 chassis vehicle. Rubber and felt trim points appear in good condition with no major deterioration or obvious wear. The seller reports that the top is free from any dings, scratches or other notable imperfections. A slight imperfection on the B pillar is noted in the gallery below.

@mkotzas - seller here, apologies for the delayed response. Thanks for the question. I’ve had a quote for it to be crated & shipped which came in at $1,700 (including a declared value of the current high bid - this would increase a little if the final price was higher). I don’t have prior experience of shipping something like this & given it’ll be your responsibility (and I’m sure you want it arriving in great condition!) I’d recommend doing some research to find a shipping option you’re happy with. Cheaper options may well be available. I’d be willing to work with anyone you identified. Let me know if you have any more questions! Thanks.
