This 1993 Mercedes-Benz 300CE was sold new in Canada before being imported to the United States in 1993 and shows registration in Florida, Illinois, Indiana and New York with just 74k miles on the odometer. Finished in Arctic White (147) over Blue Leather (262), power is provided by a 3.2-liter inline-six mated with a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Equipment includes power adjustable heated front seats, automatic climate control, a power operated blue soft top, a power adjustable steering column, ASR slip control and cruise control. This 300CE is now offered for sale by the selling dealer in Beckett Ridge, Ohio with the original tool kit, a spare tire, a clean Carfax report and a clean Ohio title.
The exterior is finished in Arctic White (147) and features a power operated dark-blue fabric soft top with heated glass. Exterior features include power operated door mirrors, aftermarket Euro headlamps, and ASR slip control. The exterior presents well with only minor scratches and paint chips shown on the bumpers.
The factory 15” 8-hole alloy wheels come wrapped in a set of Milestar tires which measure 195/65 on all four corners. The tires show 2022 date codes and were fitted in January 2023. The wheels show some signs of curb rash with no signs of discoloration or corrosion. A spare tire and tool kit can be found mounted below the trunk floor.
The cabin comes upholstered in Blue Leather (262) with matching blue carpets and blue Mercedes-branded floor mats. Burl Walnut wood trim adorns the center console, dashboard and door panels. Both front seats are heated and power adjustable with two-position memory for the driver. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, an aftermarket Pioneer head unit with an auxiliary input and a power adjustable steering column. The headliner is beginning to sag and shows a tear which is documented in the photo gallery.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer which sits alongside a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure and coolant temperature. Included in the instrument cluster is an outside temperature sensor and a six-digit mechanical odometer which currently reads just 74k miles.
This E-Class cabriolet is powered by a 3.2-liter M104 inline-six which is factory rated at 217 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Underbody photos provided by the seller show clean rocker panels and only minor surface rust on the exhaust.
The Carfax report shows first mileage reported in 1993 with linear mileage updates throughout its history along with with no accidents or damage reports shown. This 1993 300CE is now offered with the original tool kit, a spare tire, a clean Carfax report and a clean Ohio title.
A walk-around video has been provided by the seller below.
Elegant, spacious, refined, and surprisingly entertaining to drive, it’s still regarded as one of the finest four-seater drop-tops there has ever been, and remains hugely sought after. It was based on the same shortened platform as the coupe and shared much of the hardtop's sheet metal. A huge amount of strengthening elements went into the structure, making the cabriolet impressively stiff by the standards of the day. It was extremely refined too, with a thick, heavy soft top that bolsters the timeless styling. The 1993 model year received an M104 with increased displacement from 3.0-liters up to 3.2 providing the engine with an additional 30 lb-ft of torque. This example shows just 74k miles with a clean Carfax history and is sure to provide many more years of effortless top-down cruising.
