This 2004 Maybach 57 was built in August 2003 and first titled in Florida, where it remained with its original owner for more than 13 years. Subsequent registration is shown in Virginia and Washington, D.C., with three owners reported in total. Finished in two-tone Caspian Black Metallic (972) and Bryce Canyon Red Metallic (588) over Exclusive Black/Anthracite Leather (531), power comes from a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged M285 V12 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Factory equipment includes Distronic adaptive cruise control, heated and ventilated front and rear seats, power-adjustable rear seating, folding rear tables, electrically operated rear privacy curtains, a solar-powered ventilation system, heated steering wheel, four-zone climate control, rear-seat entertainment, Keyless-Go, and a glass sunroof. The odometer currently shows approximately 35,165 miles. Recent service includes an engine oil and filter change, transmission and differential services, brake-fluid flush, four-wheel alignment, replacement TPMS sensors, new Continental tires, and servicing of the sunroof mechanism. This Maybach is now offered by Autobahn Vault in Fort Myers, Florida with two keys, its original factory tool kit, Maybach umbrella, silver champagne flutes, rear entertainment accessories, an extensive collection of original Maybach literature and presentation materials, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Washington D.C. title.
The 5.7-meter body is finished in two-tone Caspian Black Metallic (972) and Bryce Canyon Red Metallic (588) with chrome trim along the grille, beltline, and lower body. Exterior equipment includes bi-xenon headlamps, front and rear parking sensors, a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, solar-powered cabin ventilation, rain-sensing wipers, soft-close doors, and a power-operated trunk. The car presents exceptionally well overall with no major blemishes noted. The engine bay remains notably clean, while the underside is similarly well preserved with no notable corrosion reported. Carfax shows no accidents or other damage throughout the car’s documented history.
Factory 19” Maybach alloy wheels are mounted with new Continental ProContact TX tires measuring 275/50R19 at all four corners. The tires appear to carry 2025 date codes and were recently mounted in preparation for the sale. The Maybach rides on electronically controlled self-leveling air suspension, while braking is handled by Maybach’s Sensotronic Brake Control system, with twin four-piston calipers acting on each front rotor and four-piston calipers at the rear.
The cabin is upholstered in Exclusive Black/Anthracite Leather (531) with leather extending across the dashboard and beltline, complemented by extensive rich reddish-hued elm wood trim across the dashboard, center console, steering wheel, doors, and rear compartment. Both front and rear seats offer power adjustment, heating, and ventilation, while the rear compartment adds folding tray tables, electrically operated privacy curtains, individual entertainment screens, dedicated climate controls, and illuminated vanity mirrors. Additional amenities include a heated wood-and-leather steering wheel, Distronic, Keyless-Go, COMAND navigation, a 21-speaker Bose surround-sound system, an integrated telephone, and soft-close doors. The rear passengers also receive their own roof-mounted analog instruments displaying speed, time, and outside temperature. The seller reports that the climate control blows cold and that the windows, sunroof, rear curtains, soft-close mechanisms, and rear instruments operate as intended.
The wood and leather-trimmed multifunction steering wheel fronts analog instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature, along with a central digital display. A separate set of analog gauges is mounted overhead for the rear passengers and includes a clock, outside-temperature gauge, and speedometer. The digital odometer currently indicates approximately 35k miles.
Power comes from a 5.5-liter M285 twin-turbocharged V12 producing 543 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque from the factory. A five-speed 722.6 automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels. The Carfax report documents extensive early servicing at Mercedes-Benz of Fort Lauderdale, followed by later maintenance in Virginia and the Washington, D.C. area. Notable work includes replacement of an oil cooler line in 2019 and replacement of the PCV valve and shifter bushings in 2020. More recently, the selling dealer reports an engine oil and filter change, transmission and differential services, brake-fluid flush, four-wheel balancing and alignment, replacement TPMS sensors, and lubrication and servicing of the sunroof mechanism. Underbody photos are provided in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows 20 service history records, along with no accident or damage reports, and linear mileage updates. Accompanying the car is an impressive collection of original Maybach material including two keys, the factory tool kit, an unused Maybach umbrella, two Robbe & Berking silver champagne flutes, rear entertainment remotes and headphones, the original dashboard telephone and navigation DVD, a Maybach Studio Materials Catalog in its leather presentation case, the 2004 sales brochure, original price list, sales-training literature, press releases, and premiere presentation materials.

The original Maybach 57 came from an era when Mercedes seemed determined to prove just how far luxury could be pushed when cost was barely part of the conversation. With a base price north of $300,000 in 2004 (before options!), nearly every surface, switch, and detail was engineered to feel expensive, from the acres of leather and richly colored elm wood to the power rear curtains, ventilated seats, folding tables, silver champagne flutes, and rear-seat instruments that even let passengers keep an eye on the chauffeur’s speed. The hardware underneath was every bit as extravagant. A 543-horsepower twin-turbo V12 moves more than 6,000 pounds with remarkable ease, while air suspension and an unusually elaborate braking system handle the less glamorous parts of the job. The 57 also occupies an interesting middle ground in the Maybach lineup. It delivers nearly all of the rear-seat theater of the longer 62, yet its shorter wheelbase makes it the more manageable car from behind the wheel. This example only adds to the occasion with its two-tone Caspian Black and Bryce Canyon Red finish, Black/Anthracite leather, deep reddish elm wood, low mileage, clean Carfax, and a remarkable collection of original Maybach accessories and presentation materials. It’s a rolling reminder of a period when Mercedes treated restraint as someone else’s problem and built its flagships around outrageous quality, materials, and excess.
