The rare two-piece 19” AMG Cromodora double five-spoke alloy wheels are fitted with a set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 tires measuring 245/35 front and 275/35 rear showing 2024 date codes with new black lug bolts. Tires were installed in October of 2024 at 103k miles. Ventilated disc brakes are fitted on all four corners with 8-piston front calipers and 4-piston rears which are finished in silver with black AMG lettering. Brakes are inspected in the video below and show in like-new condition. The AMG-tuned Airmatic Dual Control suspension offers adjustability for both ride height and stiffness. The cabin is upholstered in Anthracite Nappa Leather (251) with an alcantara headliner and original black carpet floor mats showing AMG embroidery. Black Birdseye Maple veneer lines the center console, dashboard and door panels and shows no signs of cracking or discoloration. Both front seats are heated and ventilated with three-position memory and feature multicontour seat controls which includes a Dynamic setting which hugs the occupants in turns. Additional interior features include four-zone automatic climate control, a power tilt/telescope steering wheel, COMAND system with audio bluetooth integration, and Harman Kardon Logic7 surround sound. A second new key was bought and programmed at the dealership by the current owner. The headliner was also fixed by the current owner along with a driver side seat switch. Weathertech heavy duty all weather mats are included for the cabin and an additional mat for the trunk. Included in the trunk is a spare with a complete tool kit.
This W211 is powered by a hand-built supercharged 5.4-liter M113K V8 which is factory rated at 469 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an AMG-enhanced five-speed automatic transmission. The included Carfax report shows 48 service records and included in the sale is a folder showing service history going back to 2020. The current owner completed a thorough mechanical and cosmetic refreshment to the car and then spent nearly $5,000 during September 2026 in preparation work to ready this example for auction at a specialty Mercedes-Benz and AMG shop in Atlanta. The ECU tune is unknown and was applied by a previous owner.

We adore all E55 AMGs with the W211 being the heavyweight brute of the bunch. AMG was obsessed with adding super chargers to their engines in this era of car manufacturing of which they called Kompressors. Audi was applying turbos to their hot V8 q-ships while BMW went the motorsports route of high revs and individual throttle bodies. AMG did what they were good at and thuggishly slapped huge superchargers on top of their aging but dead reliable M113s to spice things up as they developed the M156 motor from the ground up for the upcoming E63. Let us tell you, these things are still fast by today’s standards, especially with a small pulley and tune on it like this car has. A tuned E55 is what they should have felt like from the factory. Mercedes-Benz purposely under-tuned these motors to keep them cool and reliable far beyond past 500k miles. In short, they were very overbuilt and take to ECU flashes and small pulleys very well and is safe for the motor and its reliability. The seller shows several pulls in the video and the car has legs. This being a 2006 is the most desirable as it was the last year for the E55 which got the nice COMAND, mechanical revisions, and the 200-mph speedometer — which these need once the limiter is removed. This is a 200 mile per hour car as it sits. The Chromodora wheels are a huge upgrade (also expensive and collectable, mind you) and look sinister with the black paintwork. Stuttgart Steel then combed over what is arguably one of then nicer W211s we’ve seen and dialed this thing in. The owner has spent a ton of money on the car getting it up to his high standards and it shows. All of the problem areas on the M113K powered W211 are taken care of. Rear main seal: check. Air suspension: check. Ignition service and CPS: check. Headliner: check. Suspension, fluid, and brakes: check! This is kind of the perfect E55 AMG if you’re looking for one.
