This 2000 Mercedes-Benz S500 Designo Silver Edition is finished in Designo Silver (029) over Shell/Helion (519) Exclusive leather, and it is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes the AMG Sport styling package, a glass sunroof, power-adjustable and heated front and rear seats, massaging and ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, Airmatic suspension, 18″ AMG monoblock wheels, and a COMAND infotainment system with a CD changer and Bose audio. The car was first registered in San Francisco and remained in the state until its acquisition by the selling dealer in 2021. The odometer now has 99k miles, 500 of which have been added by the selling dealer over the last year. Recent service includes new left and right valve cover gaskets, replacement of the coil packs/wires, new O2 sensors, right air pump vallve, an oil/fluid service and an AC system inspection and recharge. This W220 is now offered at No Reserve with service records since 2013, manufacturer’s literature, a recent Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The exterior is finished in Designo Silver (029) and features the AMG Sport styling package which provides more muscular front and rear bumpers along with sideskirts and AMG wheels. Additional features include a moonroof, a chrome grille, power-assisted trunk closure, and chrome-accented beltline trim.
Factory 18″ AMG Monoblock wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport S/3 tires measuring 245/45 up front and 275/40 in the rear with 2017 date codes.
The cabin features heated, ventilated and massaging multi-contour front seats upholstered in Shell/Helios (519) Exclusive leather, designo curly maple wood accents, and the matching carpets are protected by Designo-branded floor mats. Additional amenities include power-adjustable and heated rear seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a COMAND infotainment system with navigation, a trunk-mounted CD changer, and a Bose sound system. The front seats show wear and fading as pictured in the gallery but the seller notest that there are no tears or holes in the leather.
The wood and leather-trimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 99k miles, fewer than 100 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The 5.0-liter M113 V8 features aluminum construction and was factory rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque when new. Recent service includes new left and right valve cover gaskets, replacement of the coil packs/wires, new O2 sensors, right air pump vallve, an oil/fluid service and an AC system inspection and recharge.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery below.
The Carfax report shows an accident reported in 2018 with no other damage listed and shows registrationn history in California since new.
