This 1998 Mercedes-Benz E300 Turbo Diesel was sold new at Estate Motors Inc in Goldens Bridge, NY according to the original bill of sale and has remained with its first owner since new. According to the Carfax report, the car has been regularly serviced at the Mercedes-Benz dealership between summers in Connecticut and winters in Florida. Offered as a one-owner example, this W210 is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over a Black leather (201) interior. Power comes from a 3.0-liter turbo diesel inline-six paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and comes factory rated at 26 mpg city and 34 mpg highway. Equipment includes power-adjustable front seats with memory, xenon headlights, woodgrain trim, leather seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and an eight-speaker audio system. In preparation for the sale, a new A/C compressor was recently installed by an independent shop. Now showing only 34k miles, this one-owner E300 Turbo Diesel is offered with the original window sticker, original bill of sale, all original keys, factory literature, a tool roll, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.

The exterior is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and is equipped with xenon headlights, a power-operated sunroof with tilt function, fog lights, and power-adjustable side mirrors. The seller notes there are no dents on the body. Paint work is noted on the hood and rear passenger quarter panel with a paint line visible in the rear door jam. Some very minor bubbling under the paint can be seen on each corner of the front driver's side quarter panel. The paint still retains a high gloss and displays extremely well in person with no swirl marks.

The original 16″ alloy wheels wear Michelin Premier tires measuring 215/55 all around. The wheels wear original paint and present with no damage or curb rash at all. A spare wearing an older Michelin Energy tire is housed in the trunk along with the factory tool kit and jack.

The seats and door cards are upholstered in Black leather (201) with burl wood veneer accenting the dashboard, center console, and door panels. The dash and wood remains free from cracks or fading due to continued in-door parking. The original Becker head unit is still present and functions properly. Amenities include power-adjustable front seats with memory, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and an eight-speaker audio system. A new A/C compressor was recently installed by an independent shop in preparation for the sale. The seller notes the headliner is not sagging and remains in excellent condition and black Mercedes-Benz floor mats are included.

A four-spoke airbag steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer. Additional gauges include fuel level and coolant temperature along with a digital outside temperature readout and clock. The digital odometer indicates 34,025 miles.

Power comes from a 3.0-liter OM606 turbo diesel inline-six cylinder factory-rated at 174 horsepower and 244 lb-ft of torque. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 722.6 five-speed automatic transmission. Per the Carfax, the car has received regular servicing at the Mercedes-Benz dealership throughout its life.

This is the diesel Mercedes you’ve been waiting for. The remarkably low-mileage makes this E300 turbo diesel extremely appealing and the condition is exactly what you should expect from a 34k-mile example. The interior has been perfectly kept as if locked in a time capsule for the last 22 years. There are no cracks or fading of the woodgrain and the leather remains plush and free from creases. The seller shipped us this car to assist with the presentation of the auction and we got the opportunity to drive it firsthand. The only notable flaw would be some very minor bubbling under the paint on each corner of the front driver's side quarter panel. The power delivery is prompt and the car drives extremely smooth with no rattles or creaks. It’s worth noting the xenon headlights optioned on this E300 which are a huge improvement over the factory halogen housing headlights. The OM606 is known for its longevity and can easily reach a half million miles with ease. According to the original bill of sale and window sticker, this E300 sold new for a total of $47,549.85 on December 30, 1997. With a clean one-owner Carfax report showing regular dealer service history and the original window sticker, this car has become near impossible to replicate today and is destined to become someone's new pride and joy.
