This 1982 Mercedes-Benz 240TD was imported from Spain in 2024 and registered in Charleston, South Carolina with the current owner. Import documents are included in the gallery and the sale. Finished in English Red (504) over Palomino MB-Tex (154), power comes from a 2.4L OM616 four-cylinder diesel paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include power steering, a manual sunroof, central locking, and a folding 3rd row bench seat. The service history of the wagon prior to import doesn’t show much documentation and what is included is in Spanish. Under the current owner’s care some records are included. The documented services include new shocks, new control arms, new brake lines, new calipers, new door seals, new glow plugs, both fuel filters, an oil service, and a valve adjustment. The cabin features seats upholstered in Palomino MB-Tex (154) with matching Palomino door panels and carpets. The dashboard and center console are trimmed in black along with the steering wheel and shift knob. Black vinyl trim takes the place of veneer throughout the cabin and displays nicely. Equipment includes a heater with defrost and dual-zone controls, a rear heated window, a manual sunroof, and the folding 3rd row seat. An aftermarket Continental head unit is installed and features bluetooth connectivity. The seats remain in excellent original condition along with the dash which remain clean and free of cracks or fading.

Original VDO instrumentation includes a 180-km/h speedometer, an analog clock, and additional auxiliary gauges include coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level which all function properly. The six-digit odometer shows 265k km (164k miles).
