This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 190E 3.6 BRABUS began life as a German-market example and subsequently modified by BRABUS with accompanying invoices from 1990. The car received a complete BRABUS conversion including a 3.6L engine build, complete BRABUS body kit, gauge cluster, steering wheel, and BRABUS monoblock wheels. Finished in Black Pearl Metallic (199) over Black Leather (261), power is provided by an BRABUS-modified 3.6L M103 inline-six paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The car was ordered from the factory with no sunroof and manual windows. The sale includes original BRABUS invoices from conversion totalling over 32,000 German Deutsche Marks (DEM) in 1990. Also included are original BRABUS brochures, service book, and additional Mercedes service records. The car underwent an extensive mechanical refurbishment in 2014 with photo documentation in the gallery. Now showing 189k km (~117k miles), this 190E 3.6 BRABUS is now offered for sale by the selling dealer with service records, original BRABUS literature and invoices, two keys, and a clean Belgium title.
The body is finished in Black Pearl Metallic (199) and features matching painted trim as part of the BRABUS treatment. An authentic Gen 1 BRABUS body kit is fitted and includes an extended front and rear bumper, side skirts, and badging. Exterior equipment includes a painted grille, Euro glass headlights, and a power adjustable passenger-side mirror. The paint quality is reportedly in excellent condition with no signs of fading. The car wears mostly original paint and paint meter readings are provided in the galllery.
Fitted to the car are authentic 17" BRABUS Monoblock 'Blade' wheels which come wrapped in a set of Continental EcoContact 6 tires measuring 215/40 on all four corners with 2023 date codes. Each wheel shows original BRABUS stamps and come with period correct center caps. During the 2014 overhaul, all suspension and brake components were replaced. The car is fitted with H&R springs and Bilstein shocks along with drilled rotors.
The four-spoke BRABUS steering wheel frames a BRABUS gauge cluster featuring a 300 km/h speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, economy, coolant temperature and oil pressure. The six-digit mechanical odometer currently shows 119k km (~74k miles) from new.
The engine has been modified from the factory 2.6L to a 3.6L BRABUS-tuned M103 inline-6 producing 245 horsepower and 230 lbs ft of torque. The engine features a speical cylinderblock and head, crankshaft, forged pistons, modified inlet and exhaust passages and valves, and a BRABUS camshaft. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. Original BRABUS invoices from the conversion performed in 1990 denote the 3.6L engine upgrade and BRABUS stamps are found throughout. The mechanical refurbishment in 2014 is partially documented in photos and shows all new suspension components and brakes. Detailed photos of the engine bay show no corrosion on the headers, perfectly finished BRABUS 3.6 valve cover gaskets, and clean fittings with new hoses throughout.
Photos of accompanying documents and BRABUS brochures are provided in the gallery. This 190E 3.6 BRABUS is now offered for sale in Germany with service records, original BRABUS literature and invoices, two keys, and a clean Belgium title.
