Refurbishment started when the current owner took possession of the car in 2019 and immediately sent it to Pierre Hedary & Co. Documented maintenance includes a new, taller rear differential for modern highway capability, new vacuum lines, a new fuel tank, new cooling system, and new air conditioning. A four-spoke black steering wheel with integrated airbag frames a 140-mph speedometer, a 6k-RPM tachometer with an inset analog clock, an external temperature readout, and a combination gauge showing fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit analog odometer shows 120k original miles, approximately 3,200 of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.0-liter OM617 turbodiesel inline-six was factory-rated for 121 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission with an upgraded rear differential for higher cruising speeds. Pierre Hedary & Company oversaw refurbishment for the current owner with recent work including new vacuum lines, a new fuel tank, new cooling system, and new air conditioning.
