This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 420SEL shows registration in Washington state since new with the first documented history noted in 1992. In 2016 the vehicle was in an accident and a number of modifications were added in a rebuild. Finished in Black Pearl Metallic (199) over a facelift Black Leather, power is provided by a swapped 5.5-liter M117 V8 engine mated to a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Final hour! Good luck everyone!
@Liviu the ball joint boots are in great shape and headlights are correctly aligned.
On the pictures looks like both ball joints rubber boots are thorn or is just a reflection? Also the car right headlight appears to be tilted, might be very well picture angle. Please confirm.

@Liviu roughly 80k miles. Entire top end of the motor was rebuilt in 2019. Id say only about 4k miles have been put on it since this was completed.
How many miles please on the 560 motor?
@jago_mb Um.... no clue? Please share now that you have me curious! I would think full flush Euro lights would look fabulous but that's me!
@GoBoGo i'm a fan of the earlier lamps plus now i learned what the heck is a heckblende :)
@GoBoGo entire interior had a facelift. Thank you!
Odd that it's a 1987 but has 1985 or earlier version headlights (vs. the 'flush' 1987's). The airbag/steering wheel does not seem original (guessing that's part of the wreck). Cool looking beast though!

Hi everyone, a few more things of note! This car is equipped with 1st gear start ability, accessible by pressing the horn toggle button up and down. Car is also equipped with bilstein suspension for a somewhat more dynamic driving experience. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions. I will answer them to the best of my ability! Thanks!
@Dino81 No bolt goes there. Look at photo 164 the car is on bilstein suspension. Its attached with two bolts on either side of the strut. Furthermore you can clearly see its the same on both sides…
Picture 159 the lower shock bolt is missing 😮
@edand I didn’t. The accident occurred in 2016 well before my ownership. Im assuming damage was minimal but due to the low values of these at the time insurance decided to total the car. Hope this helps.
Totaled by insurance but bears a clean title? How'd you work that one?
@JustAuBy Hi there! Car carries a clean WA title

Is this a clean title or salvage rebuilt title? The description references both.
