This 1995 Mercedes-Benz E320 Cabriolet was originally sold new in California and purchased by the current owner in 2003. The car is finished in Black Pearl Metallic (199) over Beige leather (265) and powered by a 3.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a power-retractable black top, eight-hole 15″ alloy wheels, headlight wipers, power-adjustable and heated front seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, and a full stack of maintenance records. This A124 now shows 87,515 miles, approximately 15,000 of which have been added by the seller since 2003. Under the current owner’s tenure, maintenance items addressed includes a new wiring harness, rebuilt top hydraulic cylinders, new black fabric soft top, and much more. This E-class cabriolet is now offered with a factory literature, two keys, service receipts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Pennsylvania title.

The car is finished in Black Pearl Metallic (199) with matching bumpers and lower body cladding. Features include a black power-operated soft top, headlight wipers, power-adjustable side mirrors, and a power antenna. The black soft top features an electrically-heated glass rear window. In 2012, all eight top hydraulic cylinders were rebuilt along with a new convertible top and headliner installed and a receipt will be included with the sale. In 2010, the owner wanted to paint-match the lower cladding and bumpers, and as a result, had the entire car professionally repainted in its original color. All body panels are original and even as supported by the clean Carfax report.

Factory 15″ eight-hole alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires measuring 195/65 all around. The seller had the wheels professionally refinished in 2011. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes.

The seats are upholstered in Beige leather (265) with matching Beige carpets throughout along with burl wood trim on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Hairline cracks in the wood veneer can be seen around the window switches in the center console. Additional features include heated and power-adjustable front seats with memory functions, automatic climate control, and cruise control. The factory Beige floor mats still accompany the car and are protected by black mats during normal use. The car received new padding and leather seat covers on both front seats in 2012 and in July 2021 a new door check was installed.

The airbag-equipped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, along with gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer now shows 87,515 miles, approximately 15k of which were added by the seller. A digital outside temperature gauge is also present and no warning lights are illuminated on the dash.

The 3.2-liter M104 inline-six was factory rated at 217 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque when new, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The car has received various maintenance items as needed including a new wiring harness and receipts for the work will be provided with the sale. Maintenance and repairs under the current owner’s tenure since October 2007 includes:

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage along with 13 service history records through its most recent entry in July 2021. While the Carfax reports 5 owners, the seller puchased the car in 2003 with 72k miles and has stayed under his ownership with various changes in co-owner since. Some of these changes were recorded as different owners, however, the car is a 3-owner example. This E-class cabriolet is now offered with a factory literature, two keys, service receipts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Pennsylvania title.

Elegant, spacious, refined, and surprisingly entertaining to drive, it’s still regarded as one of the finest four-seater drop-tops there has ever been, and remains hugely sought after. It was based on the same shortened platform as the coupe and shared much of the hardtop's sheet metal. A huge amount of strengthening elements went into the structure, making the cabriolet impressively stiff by the standards of the day. It was extremely refined too, with a thick, heavy soft top. When new, the E-class cabriolet was more expensive than a base model R129 but had adequate room for four passengers. The Black Pearl paint is one of the more rarely seen and highly desired colors. The seller happens to be in the automotive painting industry and was able to have the entire car professionally repainted when matching the lower cladding and bumpers to ensure uniformity from head to toe. Another huge benefit to this example is the replaced wiring harness and documented rebuild of the top hydraulic cylinders. The soft top has also been replaced and presents in excellent condition. The next owner of this final-year A124 will be getting enormous value in a sorted car that is only rising in value.
