The car is finished in Glacier White (143) and features a power-operated black soft top and a body-color removable hardtop. Additional equipment includes headlight wipers, fog lights, and side fender air vents. The soft top hydraulic cylinders were reportedly replaced in 2021 and is said to function with no issues. The seller notes the right side of the car was repainted under prior ownership. Paint meter readings are provided in the gallery.
The 18″ AMG five-spoke wheels were installed by the selling dealer and are mounted with new Sumitomo tires. The AMG wheels show in perfect condition with no imperfections noted. The front ball joints were reportedly replaced in February 2021. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin is upholstered in Beige leather (265) along with burl wood accents on the doors and center console. Amenities include a deployable roll bar, electrically adjustable seats with memory, automatic climate control, cruise control, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, a Bose sound system, and a heated rear hardtop window. The hardtop headliner was reportedly replaced in 2021.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel economy, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates only 7k original miles.
The 5.0-liter M119 V8 was factory rated at 315 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission. Service in February 2021 included new crankshaft actuator gaskets, accessory drive belt, tensioner pulley, battery, and hood insulation pad. An oil and filter service was performed in preparation for the sale.

@JE360GUY, @TCE63Wagon, @Robertlnm - the work invoices are from the previous BaT listing three years ago: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1998-mercedes-benz-sl500-72/ The previous dealer in 2021 did not answer questions about the $11k service either.

If the seller would just provide some info/data on these questions. This type vehicle with low miles would easily be North of $30k on BAT but without documented service, wont go much higher.
@Lanikai agree, I have asked the same questions. Looks like the car was rebuilt at 1,200 miles, then again 8,000 miles later.
@Robertlnm any additional information on the previous questions?

Can you provide any clear maintenance records for this vehicle? The screenshots looks like was taken in your phone, does not provide any VIN number or date, etc. Are you able to provide any proof of receipts for the Top Hydraulic Cylinders replaced in 2021?
Welcome to the final day of bidding I want to wish everyone good luck and I promise the car will not disappoint

Maintenance repair list shows $11,000 quoted but only $6000 paid?
Tough crowd. Car is a stud , roof pistons were replaced. Maintenance completed as car sat for a minute. What other list are we talking about. This is the nicest one around. Everyone is welcome to have it inspected.
I owned one of these for a decade (total of 40K miles) - and did not face the list of repairs apparently needed on this one. Please provide basis for the latter effected on what otherwise appears to be a quality offering.
I'm I wrong to wonder why no invoice for work done states what vehicle the work was done on? No dates, mileage, etc?

Welcome everyone to our amazing auction for this incredible car. I originally purchased this car to keep in my personal collection. I have a bunch of vehicles, I just recently put some AMG wheels on it to really beef it up to make it look like a true sport, it changed the look dramatically. The car is stunning in every way, I’ve decided to sell the car as I’m probably never going to use it. I have so many cars and I really don’t have any convertibles, but I do have an 89, 560 SL which I enjoy driving every now and again, so this car probably won’t get used. This car is in amazing shape. I do have the original window sticker and manuals and tool kit which I will post, the top hydraulics were done in February 2021. I know there was some paintwork done on the side, but its undetectable and perfect, . I believe we do have a receipt somewhere showing what happened on the side ,I believe it was minor and happened going in and out of the garage from what I was told , which also included a side mirror replacement , I was told that it was owned by two wealthy brothers down in Florida who owned a broadcast company, , ( and from looking at the title and reg we see that it was a one owner and owned by a broadcasting company) and it sat in a garage in Florida most of the time ,the car was serviced at a dealer in Del Ray beach which all entries are on the CARFAX. This car is absolutely stunning and amazing in every way. I have not seen a nicer white one ever. I want to wish everyone great success in bidding, and let’s hope someone will be getting a new /preowned low miles sweetheart!
Detailed invoices for repairs to side and front bumper are very important please try and obtain from previous owner. Thanks.

Beautiful MB! I am curious as to why the vehicle had so much servicing at 1,400 miles as well as the 6,900 mile mark. I know your not the original owner, but have any insight as to the maintenance? Thanks
