@Bnzownerthe car has its original paint, one of the big reasons why I bought was because of the paint’s condition. I’ve kept it pretty clean and even gave it a paint correction twice in my ownership. The paint had some swirls as most cars do, now it has very little swirls on the paint. The car is mechanically sound, I’ve been daily driving it for over a year and always made sure it was serviced. The reason for the sale is due to my new purchase of a 5 speed 280sl that I’ve always wanted. I have a 4 speed 280sl as well but I don’t like to daily that one. This 5 speed does the trick. I going to miss the this 300E. I would keep it but I can’t have 3 cars it’s too much for insurance.
@Ilovebigtoys my mechanic told me the suspension is good, he did have to replace one of the struts in the front. It’s in the receipt picture with the belt tensioner. The brand is FEBI. Sorry for the delay I was busy working but I have the day off today to answer any all questions. Thanks Jimmy
@Bnzownerhey, I didn’t mean to flag your comment but I hit it by mistake. I have 3 cars. This one and a 1974 280sl 4 speed manual. I had the car for over a year, I bought it to use as a daily driver and I’ve done just that. Put over 10k miles on it and did any and all maintenance that it needed, which ended up being what was mentioned. The drivers side seat just started to tear this month but looks like it can be touched up. The AC does blow cold. Only reason I am selling the car is because I have a new daily driver. 1983 280sl 5 speed Manual. I can’t have 3 cars my neighbors are starting to hate me. Bests, Jimmy
