Very nice!
This is one beautifully rebuilt SEC! A walk around & driving video would really promote bidding--love to hear how this machine sounds! Good luck to all!
Congrats metcalfe-well bought!
This late model euro spec s/b more powerful & given good maintenance a worthwhile investment. Nothing like the lines of SEC. GLWTA
Congrats!
Armandn got quite a car for the price of a Corolla! Cobgrats!
@jcd214At my discretion, the items in the inspection report were not addressed. I was under the car with the tech when the inspection was performed. (NOT MY FIRST RODEO!) MB Dealer technician's specifications are very stringent and obviously favor performing repairs as soon as possible-THAT'S HOW THEY MAKE MONEY! Cooling system works fine, tech noted one hose & clamp that could be replaced soon. There is a small amount of play in both front struts, 1/4"-1/2", but not iminent attention required. The front brake pads will soon require replacement, however, thickness and wear life by MB standards required tech to score in red.
@jcd214I stand corrected-HVAC is 2 zones in front with rear vents at the back of armrest, and in the door pillars facing rear. Rear seats (as well as front seats) are individually heated and ventilated! The option on this example that is normally reserved for the S65 is the INDEPENDENT FULLY ADJUSTABLE REAR SEATS WHICH I DEMONSTRATED IN A VIDEO! HVAC system is strong and blows ice cold throughout cabin.
@jcd214Sorry, misinterpreted your question. Yes HVAC is 4 zone. History is all good on the ABC System and it is functioning as designed.
@jcd214 I believe the rear climatized seats were an option to be ordered on the 03, as it was reserved standard on the S65. It was reported to me that the original owner ordered this vehicle from MB Omaha, NE. 2nd owner also resided in Omaha. My assertion is the 2-piece wheels would be hard to find because enthusiasts know those wheels are the best engineered/manufactured wheel for their motorcar and would not replace them.
@zachmacI requested the VMI from a dealer myself. The Carfax report reflects that the vehicle spent it's entire life in Omaha with the original owner for 25K miles, and the 2nd owner accrued 60K miles. The vehicle drives and shows as it has been well cared for.
@zachmacAll front seat bladders, massage and dynamic seats are functioning as designed. The VMI report I published is complete. The car is mechanically & cosmetically in excellent condition!
WELCOME BIDDERS: I am excited to offer this fine example of MB power & comfort through The MB Market! Please feel free to contact me to answer any questions or arrange a showing of this extraordinary motorcar!
Congrats TimTran-you got a beauty!
If you're lucky to win this truck you have an extremely clean vehicle!
This truck runs like it is on rails--fasted truck I've ever owned!
@CdogThere was no damage to the rear as it was a 2-3 mph bump by a distracted college student! Wilmington PD dispatched an officer to the scene and hence a report was filed!
It is really hard to value a unique example like this without knowing what has been invested to bring it to this state!
Wow! All that work not to win bid!
Highway MPG is excellent at 22+! 7 Speed over drive transmission is very efficient!
I would like to review the detailed documentation of the engine rebuild; hardware update; cosmetic and mechanical restoration,; the hydronuematic suspension refresh, and any other service records available. Reserve $ helps not to waste your & my time!
GASMotors: You state the vehicle was sold new and remained in Arizona where it accumulated 85K miles--How many owners have there been in addition to you? The exterior paint looks amazing--has the vehicle been partially or fully repainted? Will you shoot paint measurement readings around the car and post pictures of them? You are offering the vehicle on "CONSIGNMENT"? Is there a reserve placed on the sale? Has the AC system been converted to R134? What exactly was "refreshed" on the hydropnuematic suspension system? Does the disabled switch for the system function properly? I did not see any videos uploaded in the ad? Why is there not a 450SEL badge on the left rear trunk lid? Beautiful example of a beast of a car!
