@djc1117 -- 'preciate the reply.
@jcd214 At my discretion, the items in the inspection report were not addressed. I was under the car with the tech when the inspection was performed. (NOT MY FIRST RODEO!) MB Dealer technician's specifications are very stringent and obviously favor performing repairs as soon as possible-THAT'S HOW THEY MAKE MONEY! Cooling system works fine, tech noted one hose & clamp that could be replaced soon. There is a small amount of play in both front struts, 1/4"-1/2", but not iminent attention required. The front brake pads will soon require replacement, however, thickness and wear life by MB standards required tech to score in red.
@djc1117 -- another question: in the 12/2021 inspection report, have those items that needed tending to (brake pads, shocks/suspension, and cooling system) been addressed? If yes, can you post an invoice for the service? If not, can you provide more detail on why those items were flagged for needing immediate attention?
@jcd214 I stand corrected-HVAC is 2 zones in front with rear vents at the back of armrest, and in the door pillars facing rear. Rear seats (as well as front seats) are individually heated and ventilated! The option on this example that is normally reserved for the S65 is the INDEPENDENT FULLY ADJUSTABLE REAR SEATS WHICH I DEMONSTRATED IN A VIDEO! HVAC system is strong and blows ice cold throughout cabin.
@djc1117 , are you sure it is four-zone? usually there is a unit like this at the back of the front seat center armrest, https://w220.wiki/images/0/06/W220_rear_climte_control.jpg
@jcd214 Sorry, misinterpreted your question. Yes HVAC is 4 zone. History is all good on the ABC System and it is functioning as designed.
@djc1117 , Thanks for the prompt response. It's a beautiful ride. By "rear seat climate control" I actually meant zoned HVAC. I thought all the S-class AMG's had four-zone standard. Good point re: the wheels. One other question -- do you know any history of the ABC system on the car?
@jcd214 I believe the rear climatized seats were an option to be ordered on the 03, as it was reserved standard on the S65. It was reported to me that the original owner ordered this vehicle from MB Omaha, NE. 2nd owner also resided in Omaha. My assertion is the 2-piece wheels would be hard to find because enthusiasts know those wheels are the best engineered/manufactured wheel for their motorcar and would not replace them.
Also, any idea how hard or how much to find the two-piece wheels that came on the 2006?
Did these not all have rear seat climate control? Was it an "option delete" or removed for some reason?

@djc1117 Thank you again for the quick response. It was actually the Carfax that made me question the VMI. Clearly there are lots of MB dealership services on the Carfax not shown on the VMI they gave you; not your fault. Dealerships are very weird about VMIs. Some won't share them at all, some only with the current owner, and some, as I suspect they did here, will give you one but only for a period they think you owned it. In any case no harm, the Carfax fiills in the missing data. GLWA
@zachmac I requested the VMI from a dealer myself. The Carfax report reflects that the vehicle spent it's entire life in Omaha with the original owner for 25K miles, and the 2nd owner accrued 60K miles. The vehicle drives and shows as it has been well cared for.
@djc1117 Thank you for the quick reply. I am interested in the car and not trying to be argumentative but if the VMI is "complete" then this car only saw a MB dealer in the first 3 or 4 years of its life for recalls or TSBs (Section of VMI they label "Damage History") and then had two services in 2010 and 2011 (Section MB labels "Customer Pay") and otherwise has never been touched by a MB dealer. Did you get this VMI from a dealer yourself or was it part of paperwork with the car? It clearly has gaps.
@zachmac All front seat bladders, massage and dynamic seats are functioning as designed. The VMI report I published is complete. The car is mechanically & cosmetically in excellent condition!
$5,500 bid placed by @JL232
@djc1117 Nice S55. Can you confirm all front seat bladders are working and all massage and dynamic seat functions? Also, the posted VMI only shows one page of service in the mid 40k mile range. Due you have and can you post the full VMI?
WELCOME BIDDERS: I am excited to offer this fine example of MB power & comfort through The MB Market! Please feel free to contact me to answer any questions or arrange a showing of this extraordinary motorcar!
