I am tempted, but, at this mileage, I would want to replace the camshaft adjusters/phasers with more robust parts from 63 Motorsports, upgrade the lifters, replace the camshaft adjuster solenoid/actuator magnets with the latest revision and install the harness adapters (a.k.a., the "sacrificial pigtails," which is something I've done on my own cars from that generation and later) to avoid the major problem with oil in the engine wiring harness (and pick up a replacement engine wiring harness and replacement ECU from the last remaining stock, which many R63 owners are doing right now, as they are ending production...), and refresh the entire rear tailgate (currently malfunctioning already, it seems...) components (not cheap) to avoid all of the problems that these faulty components can trigger down the line (from problems with closing to alarm to parasitic drain, etc...been there, done that). I'd also tear apart the vehicle interior and sunroof to check for water intrusion, as this is another problem that plagues this chassis. Oh, and also expect major transmission and transfer case issues in this generation of that 4MATIC drivetrain, if they haven't been addressed recently already. It will be an investment, but it might pay off for someone looking to turn this into a garage queen/collector/museum piece and hold onto it for a number of years. GLWTA
