This 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190SL was imported from the United States to Lebanon by the previous owner in 1979 and subsequently acquired by the current owner in 1997. This SL received a cosmetic and mechanical restoration in 2018 including a full repaint in the original color, along with an interior and mechanical refresh. Finished in Black (040) over a Red leather cabin, the exterior is accented with a Black soft top and matching Black hardtop. Power comes from a 1.9-liter M121 four-cylinder paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. Recent service includes replacement of the head gasket with new seals and refinished valve cover, new crankshaft bearing cap, expansion plugs, dowel pins, carburetor support brackets, oil pan, bearing set and much more. Features include paint matched hub caps, a paint matched dashboard, restored brightwork, and a matching spare tire. The odometer displays 98,615 miles and this 190SL is offered by the selling dealer on consignment from the owner with two keys, service records, and a clean Lebanese title.
The body is finished in Black (040) and the car reportedly underwent a complete repaint in 2018. The black Haartz soft top was replaced under current ownership and shows minimal wear with no major rips or tears. Features include chrome stone guards, restored brightwork, a driver's side mirror, and a black removable hardtop.
Factory 13″ steel wheels with paint matched wheel covers measure 13x5 on all four corners and are shown with Bridgestone white wall tires measuring 185/80. A body-colored original full-size spare wheel and tire are shown in the trunk.
The cabin is trimmed in Red Leather across the seats, door cards, parcel shelf, and soft top boot. The leather seats were recovered at the time of the restoration and show light creases from varied use since the restoration. The paint-matched dashboard displays original brightwork for the switchgear and accents while the original ivory steering wheel and shift knob remain in place. The removable hardtop features a parchment headliner that has not been restored. Refinished carpets are shown in Red with leather outer piping across the floor boards and parcel shelf.
The dual spoke ivory steering wheel shows a crack at the top right corner and frames VDO instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer and 7k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The odometer displays 98,615 miles.
The 1.9-liter M121 inline-four was rated for 104 horsepower and 105 lb-ft of torque when new and features a single overhead camshaft along with dual side-draft carburetors. Service in the past 5 years includes replacement of the head gasket with new seals and refinished valve cover, new crankshaft bearing cap, expansion plugs, dowel pins, carburetor support brackets, drain cock, oil pan, bearing set and more.
This 190SL is offered by the selling dealer with two keys, a removable hardtop, partial service records, and a clean Lebanese title.

Hi how u can ship this car to USA ?
The clock in the dash is not the original of the 190sl, if you can send a photo please of the glove box open so we can see the back of the clock. Those clocks are the rarest items and extremely hard to find a replace. The car was not raised on a lift and photos taken from under, in order to see if the under is rusted, from the patches placed on the trunk floor I can see that there was some rust there at a certain time and it was patched. Not knowing the conditions of rust especially on 190sl is also a very big cost and u can only repair it with a knot and bolt restoration. Please if there are any photos that shows the plates under it will be good to post it.

Automatic? I don't think these were offered in an automatic. Looks like a nice car, other than the modern radio. I think the location is problematic unless a potential buyer is already in the Middle East.
