This 1983 Mercedes-Benz 380SEC Koenig Specials is powered by a 3.8-liter M116 V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Black (040) over Black leather (251). The car has been fitted in period with a full Koenig Specials widebody and features BBS wheels. Equipment includes a sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, AMG steering wheel, AMG gauge cluster, and a Sony head unit. The car was certified by TüV in Germany prior to being imported to the United States and an independent review performed in 2015. This C126 shows 144k kilometers (~90k miles) and is now offered with import records, a spare wheel, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.
The car is finished in Black (040) and features a genuine Koenig Specials widebody kit. The kit includes extended front and rear bumpers, side skirts, widebody fenders, and a rear spoiler integrated into the trunk lid. The kit was reportedly fitted in period during the 80's and remains fully intact. Normal signs of wear are present on the vehicle and the lower front lip has a previously repaired crack. Detailed photos of the exterior can be seen in the gallery.
The 3-piece 15″ BBS wheels are mounted with 285/40 Yokahama AV1-40 tires up front and 345/35 Pirelli P Zero tires in the rear. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs. The car features a Koenig sport suspension designed specifically for the widebody.
The cabin features power-adjustable front seats upholstered in Black leather (251) along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Woodgrain trim adorns the dash, console, and doors with extended wood door cards. Amenities include a Sony head unit, AMG steering wheel, dual manual climate control, power windows, and split rear seats.
The AMG leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an AMG gauge cluster including an 300kph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for instant fuel economy, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 144k kilometers (~90k miles).
The Carfax report shows one entry in June 2023 when the US title was received. This Koenig Specials SEC shows 144k kilometers (~90k miles) and is now offered with import records, a spare wheel, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.
Driving footage of the car is viewable in the videos below.

@germancars Yup that’s me! As for the financing, a truck and trailer are first on my list to tow the E30 instead of driving it!

@GemballaE30 thanks for the nice words, I think I’ve seen your silver E30 in the shows up north, it’s amazing, congrats! (P.s. I could get you preapproved for financing before the auction ends)
Man, to be able to add this to my collection next to the Gemballa would be a dream… if only the timing were a little better. GLWA, I hope to see it come up north east!!

@ALLPROFAMOUS it’s from the Patina Collective Sellection. A handful of cars that are being released to the public, offering MB fans and collectors the chance to own one rare Benz
Is this the patina collection car?

This auction has a DM feature that allows to send a direct message. The gallery is comprehensive as well and you are welcome to do your due diligence so you can bid in confidence.
Beautiful car. I’m in Miami aswell and have a 930 Kremer/DP that was in Miami vice. This car is absolutely essential to me and I would love to see it. Made an account on this website just for this car!

@Fatfrog Thank you! it's a true representative of the 80's and 90's car pop culture era
I think i hear the Miami Vice theme song.. Cool car. GLWTA
@gbouton if reserve is met and you win the auction I'll order a set of P7s from Lucas for you, but you must bid ;)
Are there any date codes on the rear tires? Replacements in that size are available, but very expensive.
