This 1991 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL is finished in Black (040) over Black Leather (271) and is powered by a 5.5-liter M117 V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a power-operated tilting and sliding sunroof, automatic climate control, cruise control, a Becker AM/FM cassette stereo, power-adjustable heated front seats with memory, heated power reclining rear seats, a two-tone “town and country” horn, as well as 15″ Gullideckel wheels. The most recent service in May 2022 included a changing of all fluids including brake, oil, transmission, and coolant, and in September 2021 the spark plugs and oxygen sensors were replaced. This 560SEL currently shows 126k original miles and is offered by the seller and owner with the owner's manual, 2 keys, original tool roll, a Carfax report, and a clean New York title.

Finished in Black (040) with dark gray lower cladding retains what is believed to be largely original paint, with the addition of a Lorinser trunk spoiler. No rust is visible anywhere on the car. There are a few scratches visible behind the left side turn signal which can be seen in the photos below. Additional exterior features include a metal sunroof with tilt function, chrome trim around the lower beltline and windows, and fog lights. There are accidents reported on the provided Carfax report, and the extent of the damage was limited to the plastic bumpers according to the seller and does not affect the metalwork of the car.

Factory 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels are mounted to Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires measuring 205/65 all around with 2015 date codes. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and self-leveling rear suspension were standard features on this S-class.

The interior is trimmed in Black leather (271) and complemented with burl walnut wood trim on the center console, dash, and doors. This includes the steering wheel with an integrated airbag and gear selector which are also clad in leather. Additional amenities include a dash-mounted airbag for the front seat passenger, rear reclining seats, automatic climate control, and heated seats both front and rear. Minor wear is present on the driver's left seat bolster.

Looking through the steering wheel shows a 170 mph speedometer, tachometer, analog clock, and fuel level indicator, as well as an oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel economy gauge. The bottom row of the cluster shows benefits from an external temperature gauge, as well as the unlit warning lights. The analog odometer shows 126k miles.

The 5.5-liter SOHC M117 V8 was factory rated at 238 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. This and the W140 are the two best cars to ever come from Mercedes. Properly engineered to be the most comfortable cars on the road and admittedly better than the new stuff today.
