Congrats @amgpuma
Thanks all! @amgpuma I will be in touch
@InThe90069 Yes. Just like every other major auto auction site, any bid placed in the last 2 minutes extends the clock for another 2mins. Its all in their HOW IT WORKS/FAQ section at the top of the page.
$10,250 bid placed by @amgpuma
Each bid extends this auction by 1 min and 30 seconds. It was supposed to end 15 mins ago. Wtf?!?!

I have a 95 S Class with the evaporator issue. A quote I got is almost what I paid for the car a few years ago, and the challenge is finding someone competent enough to even do the work. Instead of fixing it, I bought a 99 S Class to drive in the summer and the 95 became a cold weather car. It’s worth it to me to have these cars look pristine, but minor functions don’t really matter. Question for the seller: When you put it into Drive, does the lever stay in D or does it shift over to the 4 position? Thanks

@pgcolo69 I actually didn’t get a full quote. We started by making sure the parts were still available. Then I ended up purchasing another similar vehicle and this one fell to the sale list.

So—what was the estimate to repair when the A/C was diagnosed?
@pgcolo69 19” RSK - 3
D-93’s?
Also have a set of Lorinser wheels that fit this car….
Dealer here in Houston, can’t even begin to calculate how many transactions I have done with seller. Have seen the car in person, nice opportunity here for someone who is willing to repair the AC. GLWS!
Good morning all I had a few messages around the seatbelts valets, lights, locks, seats, windows, sunshade and radio. All are functional as is the hydraulic system. Door locks were not operational when I purchased but have sourced parts and replaced a few months ago(receipt in pictures). Comes with two keys and two remotes that also work as designed. Remote operated rear view mirror fully operational too. Aside from the AC this car is in great shape.

Sadly it was broken when I purchased just not disclosed. I would rather take a loss than deceive another.
I've done an evaporator job on a W124 and the whole dash needs to be removed to get to it, same deal with the W/C140. I think M-B quoted something like 25 hours to do the job back in the day. I've heard tales of guys getting really fast at these back in the '90s and said they could do them in a single day. These were an issue on this chassis. It's very doable even if intimidating. Go slow and be careful of breaking stuff that would be hard to replace! I'm a masochist when it comes to these cars and am tempted to take the plunge since I hate myself. Really cool car. Sorry it broke on you!
As we get into the last day of bidding I have removed the reserve
Parts are available according to the guys who diagnosed. It’s a stunning car overall but agree the AC needs to be fixed.
Inoperable AC is a problem. I would get it in a minute if it had operable AC :-(
@Komikdeil I bought another similar car on this same site
Do you mind can I ask you why you are selling this car after couple months you bought???
Leak is at evaporator. My apologies I misspoke on compressor. I will admit I am not an expert in ac components. Document posted gives summary of all work completed under my ownership.
An additional service record has been added to the gallery.
Yep, will do tomorrow.
Can you add a pic of the air conditioning diagnosis/estimate of repair?
OK, just have to ask - how do you know it’s the compressor that’s leaking? These cars typically have evaporator leaks which is a lot more labor to fix.
$5,000 bid placed by @ariotofmyown
@davidjensen the compressor has a leak. It still blows and has a faint cooling effect but cannot keep up with Houston temps.
Any idea what the issue is with the AC? No AC is a problem in Houston
