This 1999 Mercedes-Benz CL500 is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Gray Leather (238) interior and was reportedly purchased new through Mercedes-Benz of Palm Beach in April 1998. The current owner purchased the car in November 2021 and it now shows 109k miles. This final-year coupe is powered by a 5.0L M119 V8 paired to a five-speed automatic transmission. Features include Parktronic, an AMG exhaust system, heated multi-contour front seats, automatic climate control with rear-cabin controls, and a Bose sound system with an aftermarket head unit and a six-disc Alpine CD changer. Recent services in 2022 include an oil change, new oil lifters, valve cover gaskets, rear shocks and accumulators, and a new transmission mount. This CL500 is now offered by the seller with recent service, two keys, factory literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New York title.
The exterior is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features color-matched lower body cladding. Additional exterior features include parking sensors, lower fog lamps, headlight wipers, a glass sunroof, a power antenna, and power-folding mirrors. The seller notes that the rear bumper was repainted to remediate scratches and the partktronic system is currently inoperable. Detailed photos of the exterior can be seen in the gallery.
Staggered 18″ AMG alloy wheels wear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 245/45 up front and 274/40 in the rear with 2014 date codes. Some curb rash is visible on the wheels and depicted in the gallery. The rear shocks and accumulators were replaced in February 2022.
The interior is trimmed in two-tone Gray Leather (238) seats featuring gray leather inserts with matching door panels and carpets. The seats appear to have been replaced with seats from a Black and Gray coupe of the same year and are detailed in the gallery. Burled wood veneer accents the dashboard, center console, shift knob, and door panels with cracks and delamination visible in the photos. The center armrest shows notable wear and fading. Additional amenities include front automatic dual-zone climate control, heated multi-contour front seats, rear power headrests, an electric sunroof, a Bose sound system with an aftermarket head unit and an Alpine six-disc CD changer. The seller reports that one of the rear passenger headrests is not functioning correctly.
The leather-trimmed steering wheel frames an instrument cluster that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and a digital odometer that shows 109k miles. Additional auxilary gauges provide readouts for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and instant economy.
The 5.0L M119 V8 was factory rated at 315 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque when new which is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Service in 2022 includes new oil lifters, new valve cover gaskets and a new transmission mount. An AMG exhaust from a W210 E55 has been fitted and is currently installed on the vehicle.
The included Carfax report shows linear mileage reports since new with no accidents or other damage reported. This CL500 is now offered by the current owner and seller with recent service, two keys, factory literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New York title.
