Can you imagine this thing spearing through a jungle road in Honolulu in the early 2000s? That’s an image we’d pay lots of money for. This is arguably the coolest factory W210 E55 we have seen in a long time. All of us own a 5.4-liter M113 AMG car at The MB Market, so let’s just say we’re drooling over the spec of this one. The Designo paintwork is wild to see in person. It shifts from gold to blue to purple to bronze to silver depending on the time of day and cloud coverage. Mercedes-Benz was proud of this paint since it had so many layers to give it the subtle chromaflair look. While the paint is special, it’s the green leather seats that are perforated in AMG trim that will melt brains. The blonde curled maple wood is perfectly early 2000s spec that is punctuated by the dramatic rainforest interior. We are hoping someone with the desire to make this car perfect buys it and treats it with respect and love.

Great win Enjoy
I test drove this same spec at a MB dealer back in 2004. Happy to finally make that dream come true after all these years :)
Doh, got distracted by work in the last minute.. If the sale falls through please contact me.
Congrats @jonny124! We'll be in touch shortly!

Thanks for the bid. Really trying to be truthful about the mechanical condition. It runs and drives really well — it just needs some enthusiast love to go through the things that are asymptotically wrong with the car. Luckily parts are plentiful and cheap and the W210 is incredibly nice to work on. FCP Euro has all the parts you need at a very reasonable price. The spec is just soooo rare and uncommon. We have a E320 in the collection in the same color combo that’s very nice but not as fun to drive as this one.

@RBBrooke I think it came via boat. It was discovered by our friend who had it shipped here. We fell in love with it and bought from him. It’s safe to assuming it’ll need fluids refreshed and the usual gaskets if you’re going to drive it. Brakes felt fine (never measured the rotor thickness) and it’ll probably warrant a serpentine belt too.
Curious as to how and why this car moved from Hawaii ( where I live and saw it a few times) to Georgia. And where are the maintenance records. Motor and Tranny mounts, Valve gaskets, serpentine belt, brakes?
$7,555 bid placed by @Sharifm3
@BklynBenz The car has been sitting in the collection for a few years at this point. We do drive it but only seldomly. It looks like an oil pan gasket and trans pan gasket to us. It’s makes for a good excuse to do some upkeep on the fluids for whoever wins this to replace those gaskets if it bothers the buyer. Same for the differential. They’re just seeping from sitting but not actively dripping.
Have the apparent fluid leaks been diagnosed? There's wetness on the rear diff, possibly from the seal the cover. There's also wetness on on the front of the oil pan and front of the transmission cover. Is there something leaking at the front of the engine? Is there a rear main seal leak, or is that oil from the front of the engine blowing back?
I wish I had that green interior in my E55!
@BlainE55 Nice! Let's see what happens!
@cmscollect Well, I’m in! Best of luck!

@BlainE55 Hey there neighbor! Yeah we're a stone's throw from each other. Yes, right off Exit 24 off 575 in Ball Ground.
I am from Jasper, GA and it’s hilarious that this exact model is available right down the road from me — as it is what I have been looking for to make my first AMG!! Beautiful car. Is this car in ball ground for pick up?
As we come into the final day of the auction, I'll be here for any last minute questions. Thanks for the bids and the good questions thus far. We appreciate the interaction. @paulunm We don't have a paint meter on hand.
Are you able to get paint meter readings prior to auction end?
@aungmyat05 @skarthur The MB Market has uploaded a picture of the scan we took with our Autel showing the SRS code.
We will put a scan to it this week and see what’s up. Thanks!
Yes Im aware of the common dash cracking there for w210. Just wanted to make sure it was not related to the srs light from deployment. Have you ran the codes for that srs light?
$6,500 bid placed by @MetzgerGT1
I'd like to know a little more about the airbag situation too. I'm not thinking of the crack in the dash, every W210 that's been parked in the sun for any length of time has that same crack in the dash. I'm thinking of the lit SRS light. Any insights there? Very cool and rare spec on this E55. Good luck with the auction!
@DF315 Yes! These are 18s so I think it came from a facelift W220 S430 sport. Tons of Monoblock auctions on The MB Market, so they are pretty easy to get at this point luckily. Slap some Michelins on there and you’re good to go. But the car has a cool story to it. We want it to go n the rights hands and to a new owner who will put a little love into it to make it worthy of its past self.
@aungmyat05 Airbag hasn’t been deployed. These W210 dashes shrink with sun exposure, especially around the airbag which causes the plastic and foam to crack. This is pretty common on these cars. Coming for Hawaii, it definitely saw some sun.
$6,250 bid placed by @Joost57
Can you take a close up picture of the passenger airbag? Has the airbag been deployed? Looks like theres a small crack on the upper left side of the airbag.
Wish I “needed” one of these. Seems like a nice, unique car that would have been benefited highly if it were garaged, although Hawaii seems like a nice life. New owner should definitely consider swapping out the wheels, huge monoblock lover here but I believe this set is from a clk, and I can’t stand them on e55. Needs some proper 3 piece oz’s. Will be watching!
Wow...nice. Kinda wish I didn't already have one. 😝
This is going to be a fun one. Welcome to the auction of our Designo Silver over GREEN perforated leather interior E55 AMG. We had to have this car in our collection when we bought it from another collector that's well known in this sphere a few years ago. These are rare in their own right, but in E55 trim, there's going to only be a handful ever produced. Please look through our gallery and watch the video we had put together covering this car. We don't know when another one of these will pop up again. But we're downsizing the collection to refresh it with some more funky inventory which is why we're selling it. Please feel free to ask any questions -- we will e around. Thanks!
Wow!!
