This 2001 Mercedes-Benz E430 shows just two owners and New York registration from new with only 44k miles on the odometer. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Anthracite Leather (211), power is provided by a 4.3-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Equipment includes Xenon headlamps with a heated washer system, rain-sensing wipers, a power glass sunroof, heated and power operated front seats with memory, Bose audio and dual-zone automatic climate control. Recent maintenance includes a complete fluid flush, new Michelin tires, a new radiator and thermostat, a new accessory belt and new air filters. This E430 is now offered for sale by the current owner with the factory first aid kit, a clean Carfax report and a clean New York title.
The exterior is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features chrome accents along the beltline and bumpers along with fog lights integrated into the front bumper. Exterior features include rain-sensing wipers, Xenon headlamps with a heated headlamp washer system, heated power adjustable door mirrors and a power tilt/slide glass sunroof. The exterior shows minor scratches and rock chips which are documented in the photo gallery with no body damage or rust present.
The factory 17” five-hole alloy wheels wear Michelin Primacy Tour tires which were fitted within the past six months and measure 235/45 on all four corners. The wheels appear in good condition with only minor signs of curb rash and no signs of oxidation or discoloration. The car also recently received a full brake fluid flush.
The cabin is trimmed in Anthracite Leather (211) and features Burl Walnut trim along the center console, dashboard and door panels and shows no signs of cracking. The front seats are heated with 10-way power adjustability and three-position memory. Interior equipment includes dual-zone automatic climate control, a garage door opener, an 8-speaker Bose audio system and a power tilt/telescope steering column.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer along with a 7k-rpm tachometer, fuel level and coolant temperature gauges and a digital clock. The digital odometer currently reads just over 44k miles.
This W210 sedan is powered by a 4.3-liter M113 V8 which is factory rated at 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Recent maintenance includes an engine oil and oil filter change along with a transmission fluid flush, new radiator and thermostat, a new accessory belt and new air filters. Underbody photos are available in the gallery.
In recent times, the W210 has begun to draw more attention as enthusiasts appreciate its simplicity and elegance through combining old school luxury and reliability with new school technology. The later face-lift models with the 4.3-liter M113 engine have certainly received more attention due to their sleeker front styling and bulletproof reputation for reliability. Finding examples under 100k miles is often a struggle, however, this example boasts just 44k miles from new and presents exceptionally well with no accidents or rust to speak of. Featuring heated power seats, Xenon headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and Bose audio, this example offers all of the necessities of a modern daily driver while offering a taste of the old-school cool.

@Raredan The headliner is original and in perfect condition
Is the headliner in the backseat drivers side starting to separate? It appears it may be in the one photo of that area.

A big thanks to everyone for their interest and comments on this beautiful E430 ! We are down to the final hours and hope to see this go to a great home ! I will be in my office and will be available to answer any last minute comments / questions all day long. Bid Strong & bid with confidence, They don't make them how they used to !
I assume heating up the steering wheel with a blow dryer and them massaging it with some leather conditioner will release the lines in it now. Like I said It does have indents in it but they are more prominent on the rear of the steering wheel than on the front which is as designed on all MB's ive ever had..

ROFL @amgnut. That was a good one. However, Botox is good for only 3-6 months, and things go back to how they were... wink wink..
The winning bidder can always inject Botox into the steering wheel. I heard it helps smooth out wrinkles. At least that's what my wife claims.
.
@1956Benz @bpados. Regarding the "finger indents" on the steering wheel, here is an exact same E430 sold on this site about two years ago. https://thembmarket.com/e430-1 Look at pic #61, 62, 66, 71, and 72. The steering wheel is as smooth, and non-bumpy. With all due respect to the seller's explanation/comment of the steering wheel having indents for the finger doesn't really stand when comparing these pictures of almost identical vehicle. Question for the seller @1956Benz. Did you have a steering wheel cover that is tied up with leather string by any chance that you have recently removed? That could explain the impressions on the steering wheel that you are calling "indents for fingers". Regardless of what it was or it is, it does make the steering wheel look a bit abnormal un-appealing to my eyes.
A video has been added to the listing.
Seem to be having some trouble adding the video to the listing - but here is the link for those that are interested in the car / seeing more. https://youtu.be/zV0_JyRiTzY. @thembmarket - perhaps the link can be posted onto the listing like that ? Please advise - thank you.
@amgnut Thank you for your comment. They are indeed original as a dealer accessory as are the mud flaps on all four corners. The headlight trim rings are removable if you so wish to take them off.
@CaliColin This vehicle has been in our family since new. It was just recently transferred into my name as my father will no longer be driving. This vehicle meets my expectations of what Mercedes-Benz Stood / Stands for and quite frankly even surpasses them. Its an amazing automobile.
You’ve only owned it for 8 months? What exactly did not meet your expectations?
Are the chrome headlight rings after market? Are they removable? Beautiful car BTW.
@SilverOverBlack Thank you for your comment ! Glad to see another enthusiast tune in and show appreciation for these great cars.
@Highheat No- this is my personal car, titled in my name.

I own an '00 E430 4Matic in the same color combo as this one with about 63k miles on the odo. Have owned it for about 18 months and I continue to be impressed with how comfy, solid and well-built this car is each time I drive it - not a sports sedan, but still very confidence-inspiring on the road. Hopefully, with the 4matic, I will be able to drive it with confidence in the snow (when we finally get some - I live on LI as well;). Regardless, this example looks to be quite nice and well-cared for (even a bit nicer than mine, to be honest) - with the front seat bunwarmers but no 4matic, seems somewhat unique as well imo. I will be keeping a close eye on this auction - because W210 E430. GLWTA

I owned exact same car, same year, color and all..over 20 years ago, it was very comfortable and nice although I took it to the dealer bunch of times for different electrical gremlins under the warranty. Brakes were cooked after 1 lap of spirited driving around Watkins Glen ;) but if you just want a comfy, classic, reasonably priced benz (hoping the reserve is not crazy high) this may be the car for you! Just keep in mind that is totally useless in the snow although I doubt anybody will want to drive it in the snow
@Rockynbullwinkle that's why it's an auction my friend, you bid to win and if the reserve is met you get the car, it has worked like that for over 100 years, same formula
Beautiful car.
@Highheat I agree that rust does seem to get the best of these otherwise bulletproof W210 Benz's ! Luckily this low mileage garage kept example has been preserved very well throughout its now 22 years of life and will for sure make its next owner very happy !
@Lou_in_USA The car is exactly as listed. It runs and drives as it should with all features in factory operable condition. I will be uploading a walk around video of it later on today. Thank you.
@bpados Thats the texture of the wheel. It features pebble-grain leather and has indents for the curves of ones hand / fingers.
@Rockynbullwinkle Sorry that happened to you, but a reserve has been set as I am only willing to let this car transfer ownership for the right amount of money. It is indeed a modern day classic and has a great history to it. Please feel free to bid, and you may win this beautiful Low mileage example!
Seller: unless you otherwise indicate in a response to me, I will presume that if you (the seller) has mentioned an option, feature, or service performed, that you certify that those options, features, and systems noted in your description, are in good working order. If you have not checked the function of those items you mention, please reply with which items you have not checked; for example, you mention the 5-speed transmission; unless otherwise disclosed, a bidder should presume the transmission is working properly, without abnormal noises, and does shift through all gears normally. Similarly with your mention of the climate control system, that it is working properly, etc. Thank you in advance for your disclosure.

This is a very under appreciated car and to quote my Mercedes mechanic “the last great Mercedes”. I’m on my second one, although rust is an issue with the W210 I leave mine parked in the winter. To me this was the first true sports sedan and is a joy to drive w shockingly good gas mileage as well. Not many you will find with less than 50k on the clock. Mine has 56k.
Why does the steering wheel look like tied ham?
Why bid “for a chance” and not know if there is a reasonable reserve set? Your car is beautiful, but I once wasted time bidding on another car and learned that there reserve was never met.
@BlueridgeMB Hello and thank you for your interest / comment. The dash is in perfect condition as well as all of the wood trim. There are NO cracks, fading or issues of any sort.
Dash is free of any cracks/hints of cracks?
