What a steal.
I own the exact car, one of the real underrated gems from when Mercedes were actually Mercedes.
This car weighs the same as a new Mustang GT. I don't think it gets the respect it deserves. Gas millage Quiet Fast Handling Dependability Power to weight ratio Last Bruno Sacco designed car
I’m on my 2nd 2002 E430, very under appreciated car.
S600 badge on trunk.
Great buy, I fell in love with the W123 in Germany in 1978. My wife and I would look for an excuse to take a taxi they were so awesome.
Amazing you can buy the last great Mercedes in that beautiful of condition for that price. Congratulations, stunning car.
@1956Benz Are you a dealer?
Beautiful car.
This is a very under appreciated car and to quote my Mercedes mechanic “the last great Mercedes”. I’m on my second one, although rust is an issue with the W210 I leave mine parked in the winter. To me this was the first true sports sedan and is a joy to drive w shockingly good gas mileage as well. Not many you will find with less than 50k on the clock. Mine has 56k.
The last great Mercedes.
Wow
Nothing like a black Benz.
A lot of people don’t understand what a great car the W210 is. What a beautiful car.
What is the actual millage on the car? Thank you.
She's not perfect but IMHO this was the last great Mercedes. Great reliability, first true sport sedan with perfect combination of handling and power. Great gas millage because of the perfect balance of the curb weight to the engine. Car weighs about the same as a modern Camaro. Downside is rust unless you're willing to garage her over the winter (which I do). This is my second E430 and my first one was black. I still miss her, this is a beautiful car.
Pics of the undercarriage would be great if possible. Thank you.
Undercarriage pics would be nice. Pretty car GLWS
Did these have rust issues like the 1998-2002 W210? Thank you.
Thank you @blakleyleonard
Was the seven-speed AMG Speedshift Plus pretty dependable by 2007. Seems like some of the early (non AMG) 7 speeds had some issues.
Thank you TomFuelery, beautiful car.
Painted?
The link provided by seller shows the curb weight of the E50 to be 250 lbs heavier than the E55 but I don't believe that's correct. The curb weight on the E55 is 3,746 lbs not the listed 3,549 which puts the weight on an E55 almost on par with the E50 (3,801). FWIW
Would be really helpful to see pictures of the undercarriage of the car. Thank you.
Is 53k the actual mileage on the car or was there a reset after the restoration/rebuild of the engine? Thank you.
Reserve?
@steaknshrimp500 The auction time is to reflect the W210 E430 status as a sleeper.
I have also heard this is a better option than the AMG.
Thanks masinos65
I'm on my second E430 based on my mechanic's recommendation that it is the last great Mercedes. I think Mercedes finally got the sports sedan right from handling, power, weight, gas millage, refinement the E430 has it all. One of the great sleepers of the used car space. The only flaw on this girl is rust, you can't drive it in the winter if you live in the rust belt.
Nothing as beautiful as a black Mercedes
