This 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL550 was sold new by Mercedes-Benz Manhattan in October 2009 where it was serviced regularly and subsequently traded in 2014 to be resold as a Certified Pre-Owned Example. The car is finished in Black (040) over a Black Leather (801) interior and powered by a 5.5-liter V8 paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-retractable hardtop with a glass roof, the AMG styling package, bi-xenon headlights, climatized seats with Airscarf, Keyless-Go, navigation, Parktronic, Distronic Plus, and illuminated door sills. Service records show consistent service with Mercedes-Benz dealers since new. This SL is now offered by the selling dealer with no additional fees in Martinsburg, West Virginia with manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, three keys, and a clean Virginia title.
The car is finished in Black (040) gloss paint and features sculpted bumper covers and side skirts as part of the AMG styling package. Additional equipment includes Bi-Xenon headlamps, halogen fog lamps, as well as front and rear parking sensors (Parktronic). The seller notes a light scratch on the deck lid near the third brake light, a few small rock chips in the nose of the hood, and a few small chips in the A pillar covers; all of which can be seen in the gallery below.
Original five-spoke 19″ AMG staggered wheels are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires measuring 255/35 and 285/30 respectively and show 2020 date codes with the front left tire being new.
The cabin is finished in Black Leather (801) accented by Burled Walnut Veneer across the door cards, center console, and steering wheel. Amenities include a power-raising roll bar, heated and ventilated multi-contour seats with Airscarf, Keyless-Go, Distronic Plus, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Homelink universal garage door opener, and the original COMAND infotainment system featuring hard drive based navigation, bluetooth connectivity, and satellite radio with Harmon-Kardon sound.
Dual gauge binnacles house a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and a digital odometer showing 38k miles. Ancillary gauges show coolant temperature and fuel level while the LCD display shows trip, media, navigation, and cluster settings.
The 5.5-liter M273 V8 was factory-rated at 382 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed 7G-Tronic automatic transmission with a manual shift mode that can be operated via paddles on the steering wheel or through the speedshift option on the shift lever. The included Carfax report shows consistent dealer service with multiple Mercedes-Benz dealers across multiple owners. The most recent service includes an oil service and multi-point check in June of 2022.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists linear mileage updates since new along with documented service records, emission tests, and safety checks. This SL is offered by the selling dealer in West Virginia with manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, three keys, and a clean Virginia title.
Videos provided by the seller show a walk around, top actuation with trunk details, an interior view, and a start-up.

@Beckermachine Agreed, I used to own one of these and it was such a great driving car. Unfortunately had to give it up as we added another to the family last year. The Sport package is a must have for anyone getting an SL!
@Diamon33 That should all be on the Carfax report that's available at the top.

These cars have really aged nicely. The front end facelift of the R230 was ahead of it's time and I think these are a million times better looking than the SLs that came after this.
