This 2000 Mercedes-Benz CLK430 was originally delivered to Silver Star Mercedes of Thousand Oaks, California and was acquired by the seller within the last year. Now showing approximately 123,890 miles, this coupe is finished in Glacier White (143) over an Ash (218) leather interior. Power is supplied by a 4.3-liter M113 V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a sunroof, an AMG Sport Styling Package, 17″ AMG wheels, birdseye maple wood trim, and dual-zone automatic climate control. In March 2021, the car received all new front and rear brake rotors and pads, and new Bilstein B4 rear shocks and Bilstein B6 front shocks. Additional service in 2021 includes a transmission rebuild & flush, a new bilstein febi expansion tank, performance of a “Service A”, Corteco OEM engine mounts, ignition coils, Bremi ignition wires with iridium IX plugs, a new steering shock dampener, Mann air filters and a full fluid service. This CLK430 is now being offered with extensive recent service, a binder of over forty paper records dating back to 2000, the original window sticker, a Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in Glacier White (143), and the seller notes that prior touch up work has been completed on the front bumper to address rock chips as well as around the rear taillights. The car is equipped with a glass sunroof and the AMG Styling Package, which includes a sculpted front bumper, side skirts, rear apron, and single exhaust outlet.
Staggered 17″ chrome AMG wheels are fitted with Goodyear Eagle Sport all season tires wearing 2019 date codes and measuring 225/40 in front and 245/40 out back. The seller reports that the tires have approximately 3,000 miles of use at present. A spare tire is located in the trunk with the factory jack. In March 2021, the seller states the car received all new front and rear brake rotors, front and rear brake pads, and new Bilstein B4 rear shocks and Bilstein B6 front shocks.
The cabin is upholstered in Ash (218) leather and features birdseye maple accents on the doors, dashboard, and center console. Interior amenities include power-adjustable seats with memory functions for the driver’s seat and mirrors, power glass moonroof, power rear roller blind, rain sensing wipers and more. The front driver’s seat was recently reconditioned to correct wear on the entry side of the seat, and wear on the driver's map pocket is noted in the gallery. The original working OEM stereo is included with the sale, however, this CLK430 is currently equipped with a Kenwood Apple CarPlay 7” headunit. As shown on the original window sticker, this example was optioned with a 6 disc CD changer in the trunk at a cost of $1,000 from the dealer.
VDO instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer shows approximately 123,890 miles, approximately 4,000 of which were added by the seller. The seller notes that the trunk remote button intermittently does not work on the OEM keyfob and a cover is in place on the rim of the OEM steering wheel. The dome light bulb has been upgraded to LED and photos of it illuminated are viewable in the gallery.
The 4.3-liter M113 V8 was factory rated at 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Service in 2021 included a transmission rebuild & flush, a new bilstein febi expansion tank, performance of a “Service A”, new Corteco OEM engine mounts, all new ignition coils, Bremi ignition wires and iridium IX plugs, new steering shock dampener, new Mann air filters and a full fluid service.
The original window sticker indicates initial delivery to Silver Star A.G. of Thousand Oaks, CA and a total retail price of $52,055. Factory literature and 40+ service records dating back to 2000 are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows ownership history exclusive to southern California since new and lists one non-airbag accident in 2015.
Idling videos taken from the interior of the cabin and the engine bay are viewable below.
