Congratulations! It's a great car. You will enjoy it! Thanks to all the bidders. Doug
You are over the reserve. High bidder will get the car!
Note for buyer: All of the documentation, covers, parts, and extras are carefully packed in the car. The 15” Gullideckel alloy wheels are separately packed in four double-wall cardboard wheel boxes, to be picked up with the car. If the buyer wants to have the car shipped, I can provide help on transport logistics. Doug (seller)
I thought it might be helpful for me to list some of the extras that come with the car. Tools: o Factory jack and lug wrench. o Original handles to release the top. Also, aftermarket polished stainless-steel spoon-shaped handles, which are easy to use and stay attached to the soft-top release posts. Extras: o Mercedes optional First Aid Kit (never used or opened) and holder. o Mercedes optional folding windscreen/wind deflector and storage bag. This is mounted behind the seats, for turbulent-free top-down driving (my wife loved it). o Covers: - ’Stormweave’ Evolution 4 car cover, from California Car Covers. A thick, padded cover that I used in the garage, but it is water and dust resistant. - Cover for the cockpit when the convertible top is down. - Cover for the convertible top, when it is up. - Cover for hardtop, when it’s off the car. - Pillow roll, to protect the rear window from creasing when the convertible top is lowered. o Spare KE-Jetronics Engine Control unit. Purchased and stored as a back-up, but never used. o Some additional MB new spare parts. o Winch system and rack for raising/lowering the hardtop off/on the car. Makes easy work of installing the hardtop, and efficient storage of the top when it is off. o License plate frame 'Mercedes Benz Club of America’. I’ve been an MBCA member since purchasing the car. o Mercedes flag (3’ x 5’). o A full tank of non-ethanol gas. Doug (seller)
@SamSl There have never been any oil leaks. The air conditioning system was converted from R-12 to R-134A in January of this year. The process was done by an auto a/c shop. As I recall, it involved removing and flushing the R-12, replacing the R-134a port adapters, port caps, oil, pressure switches, hoses, R134a accumulator/dryer, and adding a retrofit label. It provided nice cold air when used last summer, and when checked a couple weeks ago. Doug
Thanks, MJamison. It has received good care. It's been a great car, and I'm sorry to be selling it. We are down-sizing, and I have been selling special cars I’ve owned for many years. Others have found good new homes, and I hope this one will, too! Doug
I received a question about the location of the car. The description indicates that I purchased the car in Arizona, and I have lived in Maryland for many years. Not long ago, I moved the car to our home in Naples, Florida, and that's where the car resides now. As stated, it's been in a climate-controlled garage. If the car needs to be shipped to a buyer, I can help with transport arrangements. Thanks, Doug (seller)
