@SixMylesYou'll love the m156 platform paired with the MCT-7 transmission. I've had my 2010 E63 for 6 years now. Driven coast to coast, 186k miles and counting. Wonderful cars for chewing up miles, effortlessly. I maintain mine myself, it has been relatively good. Wish mine had the P30 package. Mine has distronic plus, which is nice.
