@Steaknshrimp500 My father had an E430 that I often used to joyride and from that moment on It was a dream of mine to own a 2001 E55 AMG. I absolutely love this car and it truly feels like an S class, its quiet, smooth, and has some pickup. however at the moment I also own a 2020 Hyundai Ioniq Blue Hybrid which gets 60MPG and seeing as I'm going to be spending quite some time in Florida, I won't get to drive this thing much and it just doesn't make sense to pay for car insurance on a car I won't be driving. Aside from that, I don't want to store the car in Maryland during the cold winter months and feel someone who can keep it in a temperature controlled garage would be better off taking care of the car and ensuring it stays in the condition it is presently in. Im truly sad to let Emily go :(, by far the smoothest and most luxurious car I've ever owned.
@JBskiwas inspected recently at Euro Motorcars in Bethesda about 3-4 months ago when I got the AC serviced. Aside from the AC which was fixed, the only outstanding issues with the car are the smaller secondary LCD screens on the dash that display time and temperature are somewhat faded and need replacing, and the lumbar support function for the seat doesn't work either (all of the seat controls work however the lumbar support doesn't). Aside from those two things everything is working as it should be. Mechanically the car is pretty close to new.
@paulunmThey absolutely will. Previous owner did run the original monoblocks with spacers for a while but decided against running the spacers and switched to the SL55 rims.
Black, in my birth-year, and in absolutely stunning condition. This is one car I've wanted for a very very long time. Well fought @TheDanMan , you had me insanely scared
two quick questions. Does the car still have the metal ash tray that is below the radio? And also I have to ask, assuming this gets sold, does the seller have the monoblocks and spacers and could those be purchased separately for a price?
Holy smokes! Are the Monoblocks included in this auction or would they have to be purchased seperately, and despite hiding them, would monoblocks be able to clear the new upgraded brakes?
@Redbird1973This one is not in the head bolt issue group of cars with the M156 and subsequently hasn't had its head bolts replaced. 2012 was the first year they had fixed the head bolt issue for the M156 and decided to facelift the C63. This one doesn't have the same problems as the pre 2012 engines, one of the big reasons I bought the car (aside from the interior).
@Ke251Right now the car is at my house in Rockville Maryland. As the buyer you would be responsible for setting up the shipping to Germany, however if the ports are open I am more than willing to send it over if you figure the shipping out. Viel Glück!
@SergeyI purchased the cars with the HRE wheel's back at 72,000 miles. Not sure what happened to the original wheels, however what I do know (or at least was told) was that the car's previous owner was a surgeon in Alabama who then gave the car to his daughter before finally trading this in for a new C63. I know big rims are popular down south, but all I know for sure is that the HRE's are absolutely amazing.
