The exterior is finished in Black (040) and AMG body modifications for the E55 includes a special front air dam, sculpted rear bumper, side skirts, chrome dual exhaust outlets, and factory rolled fenders. The seller notes that the paint condition is excellent with only touch up spots noted around the front grill. The Carfax reports no damage or accidents and the paintwork is believed to be original. The headlights remain clear and all rubber moldings show without cracking. The left rear tail light assembly was replaced in July 2021 at the dealer due to a failed contact carrier causing the brake light not to work. In February 2021 a paint correction and ceramic coating all around was applied with a 5-year guarantee.

Hello again, I have the same wheels and I was wondering how did you overcome the issue of the lug bolts hitting the brake parts in the rear?
Hello again, I have the same wheels. What vehicle did the wheels bolts come from?

I've personally driven and seen this car in person and it is very very nice. One of the best maintained examples left without question. @Marathon4 The brake set up comes from an 07 SLK55 AMG @jgmsethi Original Monoblocks will fit but require a spacer in the front to clear the calipers. The previous owner specifically chose the SL55 wheels to avoid the need for a spacer and allowed the brakes to be seen behind the wheels.

Do you know if the Original AMG Monoblock will still fit with this brake setup?

@Steaknshrimp500 My father had an E430 that I often used to joyride and from that moment on It was a dream of mine to own a 2001 E55 AMG. I absolutely love this car and it truly feels like an S class, its quiet, smooth, and has some pickup. however at the moment I also own a 2020 Hyundai Ioniq Blue Hybrid which gets 60MPG and seeing as I'm going to be spending quite some time in Florida, I won't get to drive this thing much and it just doesn't make sense to pay for car insurance on a car I won't be driving. Aside from that, I don't want to store the car in Maryland during the cold winter months and feel someone who can keep it in a temperature controlled garage would be better off taking care of the car and ensuring it stays in the condition it is presently in. Im truly sad to let Emily go :(, by far the smoothest and most luxurious car I've ever owned.
@JBski was inspected recently at Euro Motorcars in Bethesda about 3-4 months ago when I got the AC serviced. Aside from the AC which was fixed, the only outstanding issues with the car are the smaller secondary LCD screens on the dash that display time and temperature are somewhat faded and need replacing, and the lumbar support function for the seat doesn't work either (all of the seat controls work however the lumbar support doesn't). Aside from those two things everything is working as it should be. Mechanically the car is pretty close to new.

Out of curiosity, is there any particular reason why you're selling so soon?
Has the car been inspected by a mechanic recently? Any issues that need to be addressed or anything not working properly? Thanks, looks like a great example.
@paulunm They absolutely will. Previous owner did run the original monoblocks with spacers for a while but decided against running the spacers and switched to the SL55 rims.
Would the factory monoblocks fit over these brakes with a small spacer?

As much as I love the stock E55 monoblocks, this set up looks mean with those brakes and beefy fitment!

These are only getting better with age. I've had my eye out for this or a C43 and finding clean ones like this are nearly impossible.

Cool touch with the SLK55 brakes
