@motosanA used soft hard top used online is anywhere from $400-800 depending on condition of top. Ideally its best o find a matching one, If not available I would purchase the cheapest one and have it painted and make sure interior has all the black trim. So its not the end of the world, as there are many tops available.
@motosanSorry there is no hard top available with this car
@victor1114 Sorry there is no hard top available with this car
@I5flyer Yes The roll bar works properly, I put it up when top is down as it is a fantastic look. If at the pics with top up, you should be able to see the roll bar is down. Yes it properly works and there are no warning lights on the dash for anything.
@rhoskins Yes the Convertible top hydraulics have been rebuilt, top functions properly with no issues.
@herlofs Sorry I do not have the build sheet or window sticker.
@gboutonthanks for posting this info.
I am not sure of the top cylinders have been done, But I looked behind trunk trim panels and looked at cylinders. Seems like they were removed or repaired due to certain marks around the area of the cylinders and pins that hold them.
@Aa87, @ChadTE. This is the car, the real SL600 for sale. I didn't have it polished as I am not a professional with a buffer and polish. Seems like all these so called detailers say they are but cars always turn out with residue between jambs or a burnt spot. Then it is questioned if its a respray. So it got a basic wash and hand wax so it shows I'm not hiding anything. Look how fabulous this car looks in this state, so imagine how it would look with a professional detail, paint correction, etc... I didn't want to hide anything. This is the car and this is what is for sale. I have an Iphone, those are the pics I took with my iPhone. I could've taken it to a professional, with the special lights and backgrounds to make it look like its in a showroom but these pics are real life pics. Again, noting is hidden and you are seeing the true car. @reh2626, if you need a paint meter to tell if a car has been repainted, then by all means get one. I don't suggest a $50.00 meter from amazon, I suggest something a bit more professional. This car has no paint work, if it did I would mention it, this car is as original as it gets, but thanks for your opinion, and good luck with the meters. This car is the real deal, nothing is hidden or docked up with professional photos or paint correction/detail. The new buyer will have the ability to garage and baby this car. I don't have anyone I can trust to polish this car. These are photos from my iPhone showing the real car in its current state. If you are a buyer and interested good luck with the bidding, if you are a window shopper with comments, thanks for letting me explain the pics and state of vehicle. If this car meets reserve today it sells, if not it goes to Mecum in Kissimmee in January. Either way car will sell. Any questions or concerns, you can contact me and I will be more than happy to answer everything.
@StathiosI don't have a paint meter, I know listing says we are a selling dealer, But we are a European auto repair shop with a dealer license. We don't have a car lot meaning we don't really buy and sell as normal practice, we once in a while have something special for sale. Hence the reason we don't have paint meter. i will try to see if someone local I know has one and will take a few pics if I can find one.
@Stathios thank you.
Bidders, Some info on the CL55, although I don't have any previous service records this car went through a lot of service and maintenance repairs. The following is what has been done to the car with in the last few months that we have owned car. Valve cover gasket, oil filler cap, Lower oil pan reseal and replace oil level sender, Blower Motor harness update, coolant hose connector, new radiator, cooling system flush w/new MB coolant, brake fluid flush, transmission service, engine oil service, front lower ball joints, front lower forward control arms(ball joints and control arms replaced this week after pics where taken so pictures of under car show old parts) front and rear brake disc, washer fluid reservoir seal, cap and a pump, (4) suspension accumulators, I suspension fluid filter and complete suspension fluid flush (no more ABC loud groaning noise in car)3rd brake light lens on trunk, 2 engine mounts and transmission mount. Car runs and drives smoothly, nice smooth shift between all gears. We went through this car as I was going to let my 19 year old son have it. I wanted it t be trouble free and as in good shape. But after driving it I have realized this is just way to much power for a 19 year old kid. I have purchased him a Bmw 4 cylinder turbo. Anymore questions about car please just ask and I will answer.
@thphonThis vehicle does not have that option.
