The body wears Blue (903H) paint and the seller believes the car has received a partial repaint along both sides of the car previously. The hood, roof, and trunk lid appear to be original paint and some light fading is beginning to show. The rubber gaskets around all windows have become brittle and the seller has purchased all new seals from Mercedes which will be provided with the sale. A new antenna was recently and the car features a power sunroof, fog lights, and chrome mirror caps. The seller notes some surface rust along the lower front valance as well as some rock chips on the hood. All bright work and plastic trim around the car remains in good condition.
Option codes on the underhood build plate indicate the following equipment:
Additional underbody photos along with a driving and walk around video have been provided below. This 300CD is now offered with manufacturer’s literature including the original pre purchase inspection, a vacuum test kit from Mercedes Source, new rubber window seals, two keys, a spare dash cap, and a clean Tennessee title in the seller’s name.

Siggson at MB Classic says I bought the las set, im keep ing them in bonded storage for sa keeping. With regards tolack of AC, my guess before you chase the usual suspects, it was a disaster system in these from Daimler involvement with Chrysler. Look at add in The Star for Per Analysis, George Murphy, MB tech wizard remanufactures the electric box, replaces plastic with aluminum. Almost always the culprit.
@OxfordMotorcars Almost worth buying just to get the NOS window gaskets that come with this one haha

@uniqueR107 The A/C does not work. I have not dug into the reason behind this. The defrost seems to work. The heat works incredibly well though!
The rubber souroundes, gaskets, for front and rear windscreens are NLA from MB Classics...

Good Afternoon Seller does the A/c works? Thanks
The color pallet from the 70s and 80s was so good. This blue takes me back. And yes, I know I'm showing my age

Hello, everyone! I am the seller of this 300CD. I purchased this neat little car with intentions of keeping it forever, but I simply don't have enough room to keep all of my vehicles. While this car is not a "show car," she sure is fun and reliable. The car always starts, even in the dead of winter. The transmission also shifts without issue or hesitation. Driving the vehicle, you immediately feel just how well built it is. I have had this car up to 75MPH and it feels like a tank going down the road. It is an incredibly impressive driving experience. The awesome color catches everyone's eye. MB Market has done an incredible job describing the vehicle, but I am always here to answer questions that you may have. I certainly am no mechanic, but I will certainly try to answer adequately. As the ad mentions, there are several additional parts that come with the vehicle that I have simply not had the chance to install. All new rubber gasket kit (16 piece) that cost $1250, a non-installed dash cap that actually glues to the original dash pad (included in photos), a new set of glow plugs (current set has no issues), vintage roadside emergency kit, an extra first aid kit, and over $350 worth of MercedesSoure.com items (Vacuum system testing kit, troubleshooting manual, Diesel engine exam kit, fuel injector removal tool, and a few other small items).

These are terrific cars without the Turbo, I have a 79 in Forrest green with twice this miles, gets lots of thumbs up.
Benson Motors' building is still there and still an MB dealership, although Benson himself is gone. Also the first place I had a Mercedes serviced- a thousand-mile checkup on a brand new 280SEL4.5 sedan, bought in Chicago and driven to DC area to visit family. Wish I had it now.
