This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC is finished in Black (040) over Grey Leather (278), and power is provided by a 5.5-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. The car was modified by Coach Builders Limited of Florida to feature a fully electric folding soft top. Additional equipment includes automatic climate control, heated front seats with power adjustment and memory, an integrated Bell Atlantic phone, cruise control and an adjustable power steering column. The cabin is trimmed in Grey Leather (278) and features Burl Walnut wood trim which can be found on the center console, dashboard and door panels. A hairline crack is visible around the window switches. The front seats are heated and power adjustable with two-position memory. Interior features include automatic climate control, cruise control, a power telescoping steering column and an aftermarket Dual Audio head unit with bluetooth. An integrated Bell Atlantic phone is located in the center console. The full wool headliner of the soft top can be retracted electrically from inside the cabin. The leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer along with a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, fuel economy, coolant temperature and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer currently reads just under 101k miles. The antilock and bulb out warning lights are illuminated on the cluster and a digital outside temperature indicator is mounted in the center.
This 560SEC is powered by a 5.5-liter M117 V8 which is factory rated at 238 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. There are no service records with the car, although the Carfax report does show an A/C overhaul in 2006.
