@Slammertoo expensive when you factor in shipping
@Smcase22awesome - thank you my friend!
@seller , I hate to ask this but is it possible to ship this thing?? We are located in SoCal. Shipping cost aside, are you possibly able to package/crate? I realize a shipping company would need to pick it up from your address - that is the easiest part of the equation.
Hi @seller, I’m sure this has been asked before but are you able to ship these in the US?
Hi Seller, would you be Able to pack and ship the sign? If so, could you please give me an estimate to 91020? Thanks in advance!
@seller, Any updates about the shipping estimate? Are you open to shipping them altogether? Or local pick up only. Some clarification before auctions end would be very useful, thanks.
Howdy seller! I remember seeing this one a few months back! Do you recall how many miles are on the driveline? Thanks
@ArseniRus 91042 please.
Hi seller, can you please provide a shipping estimate to Los Angeles, California? Thank you.
Should’ve sold
@560SELThank you so much for the prompt response, noted!
Thank you for the videos @seller. In your 2nd video where you do the cold start, can you please confirm whether or not the SRS light in the cluster stays on? Airbag/Seatbelt issue?
Hi @seller, cool looking car. Some good points were brought up by Peabo. Do you know if the guides/chains have been done on the motor? Also, is that rust on the door bottoms? Carfax records start in 1993, do you know if there were any accidents/paint work between 1988 and 1993. It looks like a bulk of the mileage was put on the car between 1988 and 1993. Looking forward to hearing back, thanks again!
Hi seller, can you please provide a shipping estimate to Los Angeles, California? Thank you!
Hi seller, do you have a shipping estimate to Los Angeles, California?
All yours @mrbrown, enjoy!
Seller, any obvious rust on this one? TY
Seller, what are you going to need for the 18" monoblocks realistically? I think everyone bidding here is going to want them with the car. Thank you.
The fitment of the wheels are insane. I hope this car brings what it’s supposed to. I wish it was on the west coast. GLWTA seller, beautiful car.
Awesome looking car seller! Any additional info on the wheels? Did they start off as 18s?
GM seller! Would you be able to ship these? If so, can you get an estimate to 91020? Southern CA, thanks! GLWTA
Awesome, thank you for the clarification!
Hi Seller, do we have any idea what shipping would cost to SoCal? 91020 zip code. Thanks!
Welcome Brandon! Beautiful piece you have for sale! You rarely ever see these, and they always fetch a premium when you do. Beautiful 600 in the background. Please let us know if you'll have other 129 items coming up. I am on the hunt for a set of 18" 129 wheels. GLWTA!
Awesome thanks for the clarification!
Hi Seller, just want to confirm a detail please. The listing states "AMG-style" body kit and "penta-style" wheels. The listing also states that the body kit was "modeled from original AMG pieces". My understanding is that the kit and wheels are aftermarket based on the wording. Can you please confirm if this is the case? Thanks! GLWTA
Amazing car…glwta. Photos speak for themselves.
Congratulations @kmr9146 and thank you to everyone who participated! You bought yourself a sweet ride!
@kmr9146 thank you!! Good luck to you as well! She’s in great condition and ready for her next owner to enjoy. If I didn’t have an issue with space I would’ve definitely kept it. Best of luck to everyone, cheers!
Dear bidders, We are finally in the home stretch! Please let me know if you have any last minute questions or concerns that I can address. Thanks and GL!
Here’s a quick walk around video folks, let me know if you have any questions or need further pictures, thank you! https://youtu.be/wDuPgO3pr-I
@cocothunder of course! That was from the leaky breather that has since been replaced. The undercarriage photos were taken prior to the major service being performed & the detail. Mechanically the car is a cherry. I’m in the process of uploading a walk around video. Should be up later tonight or tomorrow AM. All the cosmetic flaws are pointed out in the vid.
@cocothunder Yes, I can provide a smog cert to any CA buyer. The vehicle was smogged in July of 2023 to renew the registration just as an FYI. Current reg is good till July 2024.
@assistboy I can't say there is an audible difference in exhaust note to be honest. Photos 52-54 show photos of the trunk. I can provide more if there is a specific area you wish to see. Thank you!
Good morning dear bidders and future owner, please feel free to comment with any questions and concerns. I will be happy to address anything related to this vehicle. Thanks again and happy bidding!
Thank you for all the bids everyone, and congrats to starcollector!
@jacob85Hi, I’m not 100% sure. It could possibly bolt up together. You would want to do your own research for that one to be sure.
@Fadi_OHello, I'll help arrange the pick up from my storage using your shipper of choice, but I do not have or work with a specific shipping company. You might want to contact engineshipping.com. I know Fedex and DHL ship as well but it can get costly.
@F40dudeThese engines originally mated to the 717.404 (Manual) and 722.4 (Auto) As far as a standard auto transmission from a 2.3 mating, yes it'll mate. But you need to account for gear ratios, driveshaft length, torque converter.
@edandHello, the difference between the US and Euro motors was that the US cars had 167hp, the Euro cars had about 20 more hp (185hp)(tq was 163ftlb vs 177ftlb), a different ignition curve and a different fueling system. The CIS ignition is metered differently for Euro cars to add more fuel because of higher compression and higher rev limiter. Euro cars also had an adjustment knob for fuel quality to change timing, so no, parts weren't identical. You couldn't plug and play. The electronics wouldn't really talk to each other on a plug and play basis. it's more in-depth than that. The power band on the Euro cars is between 4k-7.2k.
Also just a quick disclaimer - I have not run a compression check on this engine. It was already removed from the donor vehicle at the time I bought it. I am by no means representing this as a drop-in / ready to go motor. The buyer should go through it before dropping it into a vehicle. You can consider it as a core with all of the needed accessories. Being sold as-is. Thank you again & happy bidding.
@DrAMGGood morning, unfortunately I do not remember off the top of my head. I vaguely remember the donor car being a grey market vehicle from 1985 (keep in mind this was 7 years ago when I bought it). I know the euro spec motors were a bit hotter, but just to be safe, we can assume this is a US spec motor. I can inspect for stamps / #s and upload photos if the Euro motors had specific designations. Thank you for your interest.
@sportzwerksGood morning, yes I can get a photo of that this weekend!
