Seller; very interesting listing appearing complete. You any idea the manner & number of years car stored?; climate controlled, near water, fluids managed/drained, and so on. Driving video & further underside pics available? Rust always a concern, Thanks, JN
Thank you, Please reach out with payment instructions etc Jack
Hi… anyone know if engine covers or other engine bay component covers are carbon fiber for the AMG CL 65? Thx
@Seller; Looks like a very nice example.....anyone know differences '05'/'06 models? What about importation aside from the taxes/duties/fees....mechanical / electrical US DOT impact? Speedo head needing to be changed read in Miles rather than KM.? Safety items? @Vlad600sel any info on that (DOT)? Thank you
Seller....as below, any cost/time estimate ship NY, USA? Thx
@Frenchfeigen Please contact [email protected] for arrangements. Thanks to all, Jack
Approx shipping charges to East Coast please? Thx
Another beautiful set from friends in Spain... Could you post o pic of these type of rims on a car, particularly any r129 sl600 with AMG sports body? Would like to see how they "present". Many thanks, JN
An interesting r129 ..could benefit , imo, with a bit more ownership history, how car was cared for, stored & maintained prior to recent $18K Renn Tech service. Suggests Deferred Maintenance thru the years that seller, thankfully has addressed. To me, car just looks somewhat "tired" under the hood & with seat leather creasing / appearance esp. drivers' which I would not anticipate for a 6k miles example. Did I miss the undercarriage pics? Sellers post dated 11/13/23...today....."vehicle is currently getting a full once-over by RennTech...." is this a Second Renn Tech visit above and beyond what has currently been addressed and serviced? To confirm, only AMG Cosmetic/body kit/rims etc....no engine/tranny nor mechanical AMG components? Translation on badge affixed shifter console? GLWA
Thank you MB Auction Team...a truly PHENOMENAL example..... Best, JN
Congratulations both Buyer & Seller.....outstanding car and seller. Best, JN
Seller Have you tried requesting a VMi report thru your local MBZ Dealer? Could help historical record Thx
Test Thx
SELLER; do you refinish the wheels you offer in-house or do you use an outside vendor? These...as do all your auctions, look terrific. Thanks
@Bostongal617(seller); Has car had a front end alignment recently? I ask as during Driving video staring approx 1;00 - 1;08 appears the driver maintains steering wheel slightly right-biased as travelling an apparently straight section of road? Any deferred maintenance agenda needing to be addressed...soon? Thx
This is for knowledgeable "CL specialists"....specifically years 2002-2009. I have always admired the '05/06 AMG CL65...a true 'beautiful brute' imo, yet with myriad electrical gremlins nee' demons...I have been advised thru the years to stay way least ecu this or ecu that leave me stranded or worse..etc etc. Question is how is this '03 cl600 chassis/platform/design/electrical system et al different to the '05/'06 CL chassis before AMG got their hands on them as compared to the '03 model year? Is the earlier CL car less steeped in Chrysler's "cut corners save money" mantra, thus a "better car" to start with as compared to the middle-late years? We all are aware of the quality decline MBZ suffered at the hands of Chrysler, yet at what model year did product line really start deteriorating? Summing up....is the '03 cl600 platform a better car (starting point) than the 05/06 platform? Anyone have direct experience with the above model and the AMG 05/06 variant and care to comment? Very much appreciated & thank you in advance. This Brabus looks the business...and it would be terrific if mechanically fit too. I have taken note of the extensive service history, wherein lies answer to my question, lol. JN
Final result will be quite enlightening....IMO...(market dynamics, "pre-AMG" discussion) Best to all concerned.
@ExoticCarGermany(0); would the rears need to rebuilt to a less aggressive offset to fit r129 ...chassis /axel/brake set-ups same for both the r129 sl500 & sl600? Plug 'n play...or...?, in your experience. Thank you,
Could be an exciting finish for this beautiful example...replete with all the hard to find & usually "gone missing" items. In addition an owner who appears to be a very fastidious knowledgeable enthusiast. Currently back of the money as compared to recent (last 12 months or so) sl600 SA sales . Only "thing" potentially holding her back (IMO) is the middling miles pushing her out of 'truly collectible' into great driver; of course time-horizon dependent. Economic sentiment seems to have soured over last 7-10 days...Would hate to pay collectible $$ for great driver...thus the final 'Golden Hour' may be fascinating. Best
