@Cael hi Cael, the car has not been smoked in and doesn’t have any odors. The only other issue that i’ve encountered with it has been that the fuel level sometimes will be inaccurate, but from what I’ve read and seen from other 163 owners this seems to be very common (was told to keep the engine running during full ups, as this allows the fuel level to update as it’s being filled up, and not to top it off). Engine wise, it has the m112 V6 and I haven’t encountered any issues with it, they’re one of Mercedes Benz’s most reliable engines (m112 V6 and m113 V8). I’ve also put a lot into maintaining it, so I’ve done most of the heavy lifting that you’d be expected to do when buying an older car. Let me know if you have any other questions :)
Any other known issues besides the door lock? Has it been smoked in? Any other smells in the interior? I have an R107 that required engine rebuild at 165,000 miles … would a major rebuild be expected on W163 around that mileage, or anyone know what to expect on these?

This is easily one of the cleanest 163s I've seen on the market. I've seen many with nearly 300k miles and based on the amount of service here this one should surpass that one day without question.

Loving that interior!
You don't see a NON-SUNROOF cloth-upholstered one of these very often, especially in this condition.
