The W203 AMG variants are slept on by the enthusiast community. We’re not sure as to why that is. Is it because people just don’t really know they exist? With low production numbers, the competition from the Bavarians of this time, and only being equipped with automatic transmissions, we think all of those factors affect the popularity of the C32 AMG. This is the epitome of “If you know, you know” when it comes to 20 year old AMGs. All of us at The MB Market have owned one at some point or another. The leather quality is incredible on the interiors. Cabin noise on the highway is low, the seat ergonomics are outstanding, and the chassis and steering are quite excellent for a Mercedes-Benz. One of the stars of the show is the steering feel on a W203. It’s shockingly good. The M112K is also a heavy hitter and makes good weeeee noises! We love this spec as it’s peak early 2000s aesthetic. Travertine on an AMG is always fun to see and makes this car an absolute sleeper. The documentation, condition, and originality of this car makes it a must buy for either a driving enthusiast who wants to dip a toe into the AMG brand or a collector to round out the more esoteric corners of their Mercedes-Benz collection.
