i’m really intrigued about this car, so looking forward to seeing the videos and further info. It’s right up my alley when it comes to a car with character and history. We can chat when you come back…you can call me at 4157160688. Thanks!😁
Lovely fintail…seems to be several mid sixties MB sedans on the auction block all of a sudden ☺️ Love to see some videos of the functions and driving …tranny operation, etc. Also, what work was done on the suspension- that’s the only kind of sketchy item to deal with mechanically… Looking forward to the videos and more great provenance/records!👍😁
Thanks for adding more info…it all helps with provenance 👍. This is a very lovely unicorn here in the US. There are a couple in Europe that are currently for sale, but they aren’t as nice as this one! And it would be a big deal to get one over here…close to $5K between shipping, duties, and fees alone.😖 So, Being US registrable, it being from Canada, is a big deal. I have a ‘93 600SL that was also Canadian, and it’s the best of both worlds…better tuned and unique. I doubt there are other more than one or two c43 wagons in the US, so its uniqueness is valuable. I give estimates based on market and condition on various sites, and to my clients. I really like this car, and if I had room I’d be on it big time. I have it at $37,500, but it could go higher if bidders get frisky…let’s see what happens.! I won’t be able to see the end of the auction (inspecting some cars here in LAs Vegas), so I wish the bidders good luck, and will envy the new caretaker!😁👍 Best to all!👌
It would be appreciated if the Seller can provide the videos requested, especially a functions one showing that everything is working properly…windows, roof, radio, locks, exterior lights, etc. Only takes about 5 minutes with a cell phone. Chassis photos showing its condition also important as noted previously by @nnnick1. Will give folks peace of mind to bid!😉 Also, any feedback on importation to the US? I can’t tell if this is a dealer selling it who can handle that aspect of the transaction…please advise!👌
100% agreement with Dean…these are special cars. And in the classic color combo. Let’s see what happens…I’m in!👍😁
I love the simplicity of the car, and the cloth seats. The cracking dash and the A/C potential issues (compressor, etc) equal unknown $$ to repair. Don’t know what chassis issues there are ( steering, body mounts, etc) , as no photos shown. Reason for the bid at this amount…😉. Let’s see how it goes!
Nice E55…some questions… 1). Only driven a little over 10K miles in 16 years, though it showed steady mileage increases prior…? 2). Is it a light issue, or is the cupholder cover a different wood? 3). There were several A/C issues….can you show a video of the system flowing air through the cycles, including temp? 4). In another video, can you show the full sunroof operation , along with the radio and door locks? 5). Lastly, how about a driving video showing both highway and city, with cruise control operating? All these are expensive items to repair , so just doing due diligence to ensure full info is provided… Thanks!👍😁
Nice 300D…I was just checking, no cruise control, correct? Was looking for the stalk on the side of the steering column. Thanks!👍😁
When someone says that a person wrote the book on a particular subject, it’s usually just a compliment… In this case, Roy actually did write the book! There is no better person to buy an MB classic from than Roy Spenser… So if he says this is a great car, you can take that to the bank! Good luck to the new buyer… I’m sure you’ll truly enjoy this car! 😁👍
Couple of questions…I saw the photos, but dud they paint the lower cladding when they did the body paint? Or was it left as original? Also, during the driving there were a lot of clunks and bangs…are there loose interior pieces? That would drive me up a wall…thoughts? Thanks!!!!👍😁
Didn’t ask sooner…is Ellen the current owner? If not, how many owners have their been? Please advise!😁👍
Well, quite a car. I think I may have even seen this car and met Ellen in Germany in 1991. Crazy. Just to confirm, the car is still In Stuttgart, and has no emissions provision for the US? I think I see a catalytic converter, but would just like to be sure either way. Please advise…I’m ready to bid for the car.👍 Thank you!
