This 2002 Mercedes-Benz SLK230 Kompressor was first sold and registered in New Jersey and subsequently traded in 2004 to be listed as a Certified Pre-Owned Example. Later registrations show Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, and New York. It shows 5 owners from new and 50k miles. Finished in Black (040) over Black Leather (211), this R170 SLK is powered by a supercharged 2.3-liter M111 powerplant mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Features include a power-folding hardtop, heated seats, cruise control, climate control, and a CD changer. The included Carfax report shows 21 service history records, many of which are dealer visits. Most recently the SLK benefitted from new drive belts and a new supercharger belt. This manual SLK is now offered by the seller with service records, factory books and literature, one key, a spare tire, first aid kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New York title.

The body is finished in Black (040) and is free of any rust or corrosion. Exterior features include headlamp washers, a power-retractable hardtop with an electrically heated rear window, and front and rear fog lamps. The paint shows well and the most notable blemish is reported to be a double indent at the front of the hood over the grille. Detailed photos are available in the gallery. The included Carfax report shows no accidents or damage.

The OEM staggered 16” seven-spoke wheels are wrapped in BF Goodrich tires with 2008 date codes up front and 2011 in the rear. The tires measure 205/55 up front and 225/50 respectively.

The interior is trimmed in Black Leather (211) with matching black carpets, dash and center console. The leather on the seats shows nicely without rips or stains. The OEM velour floor mats are included and feature “SLK” embroidery. Additional features include manual climate control, cruise control, cup holders, and the factory Mercedes-Benz radio with hidden cassette and trunk-mounted CD changer. Detailed photos of the cabin are included in the gallery.

The four-spoke Sport leather-wrapped steering wheel sits in front of a gauge cluster displaying a 160-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer, and additional readouts for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer reads just over 50k original miles. A digital clock and outside temperature gauge are also present.

The ‘Kompressor’ supercharged 2.3-liter M111 powerplant is rated at 185-hp and 200 lb-ft of torque from the factory. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. The M111 features a roots-style M62 Eaton supercharger and an air to air intercooler. The included Carfax report shows 21 service history records, many of which are dealer visits. Most recently the SLK benefitted from new drive belts and a new supercharger belt.
