This 2020 Mercedes-AMG A35 Hatchback was originally sold to the first owner in Ontario, Canada in March of 2020. The current owner purchased the car in April 2022 and subsequently moved it to the United States where it’s now titled and registered. The car is finished in Denim Blue Metallic (667) over a Black/Anthracite (651) Alcantara trimmed cabin. Power is provided by an AMG-tuned turbocharged 2.0L Inline 4-Cylinder linked with a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. Notable Options include the AMG Aerodynamics Package, AMG Night Package, Heated Front Seats, Blind Spot Assist, and an AMG Steering Wheel. Additional upgrades include an AMG A45 Grille, an Eventuri Black Carbon Intake, and an Armytrix Downpipe. This A35 is now offered by the current owner with 31k miles on the odometer, records and receipts, manufacturer’s literature, a Carfax report, and a clean Montana title.
The A35 is finished in Denim Blue Metallic (667) and features more aggressive ground effects from AMG in addition to the AMG Aerodynamics Package including a larger front splitter, a pair of front canards, a more prominent rear diffuser, and the raised rear wing. Additionally, this A35 is equipped with the AMG Night Package showing black accents around the windows and exterior trim. Notable exterior features include a Panoramic glass roof, LED headlamps, and an upgraded grille from the AMG A45. The included Carfax report shows minor damage reported to the front of the car in 2021 with no additional information reported. Detailed photos of the exterior can be seen in the gallery.
The A35 shows original 19” multi-spoke AMG wheels finished in Satin Black paint with matching center caps. Pirelli P-Zero tires measuring 235/35 at all four corners show 2019 date codes. Braking is handled by silver-finished AMG calipers over cross-drilled rotors.
The cabin is upholstered in Black/Anthracite (651) Alcantara across the seats and steering wheel. Red deviated stitching is shown on the seat centers, armrest, and accents with Aluminum trim shown across the dashboard and door cards. Additional features include heated front seats, a split folding rear bench, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless CarPlay, and an AMG steering wheel. Driving aids include blind-spot monitoring, Parktronic parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.
The multifunction AMG Performance steering wheel is wrapped in alcantara and black leather with aluminum finishings and red stitching. The wheel frames a digital display with defaults for a 180 mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and readouts for various trip functions. Additional displays include navigation, multimedia, phone connectivity, and AMG performance readouts. The digital odometer indicates just over 31k miles.
The turbocharged 2.0L M260 inline-4 was rated from the factory at 302 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The added Armytrix downpipe and Eventuri intake reportedly add an additional 30-40 horsepower over stock and the downpipe has a built-in cat simulator compatible with the car.
This A35 is now offered by the current owner with 31k miles on the odometer, records and receipts, manufacturer’s literature, a Carfax report showing linear mileage updates, and a clean Montana title.
A driving video has been added by the seller.
“The last hot hatch you’ll ever buy” is how multiple sources described the AMG A35 upon release and while Affalterbach is much better known for Autobahn bruisers we’re excited about the potential in this A35. It’s important to remember these examples weren’t available for sale in the U.S. and this very well could be the only hatch in the country that’s legally titled and registered making it an extremely rare car stateside. Combine the rarity with the color combination and options and this AMG A35 is bound to be a head-turner at every cars and coffee or track day.

amge63swagon - In the process of purchasing am A35 from Ontario, I live in the States and had some quick questions if you have a sec. Willing to compensate for your time.
What was the reserve? Did you sell it to the high bidder @waller4 at the high bid amount?
Thank you everyone for the positive comments and the bids!

@AMGRY45 HI, I just showed it today at 130 but If you are bidding now I can set it up for you to visit it at the storage in Dallas. I just need to call and set it up for you now since I cant make it back on time. Please send me a seller message. Thanks!
@amge63swagon I know this auction is about to be over - but is it possible to set up a meet to see the car? This is amazing to see. Living in Dallas I’ve never seen it unfortunately. I have a GLA45 and wish we got these here. If not - completely understandable. Congrats to the future winner here. You’ve got probably the only one here

@amazingcarsatl Hi, it passed for me. I think the reason it did pass was that the Armytrix shows it has a cat simulator. Im not as well versed as others would be in this. Here is the link for the cat we installed. https://www.armytrixusa.com/armytrix-highflow-performance-race-downpipe-wcat-simulator-mercedesbenz-a35-amg-cla35-amg-20192021-p-153082517.html

Do the Cat Sims allow the car to pass emissions? (non California)
@photowagon Yes please message me and we can set it up for Monday. Thank you
I am In the dallas area and I was wondering if I could take a look at the car in person
Much appreciated.
@sb911 Hi, I spoke to Modern Mercedes and they did confirm that the Premier Tuning Group tune should have added a minimum 35-40 hp from their experience. They do not have dyno info on this tune for this specific car, I assume because this is the only one they have worked on. I personally have not dynoed this vehicle. A side note that may be worth knowing. PNG, the AMG tuning company holds the fastest ¼ world records for AMG GTR and C63. I have also had experience with the tuning group on my previously owned 2018 AMG E63 wagon and 2011 SLS. Both tunes have been consistent and trouble free. I hope this helps. Thanks
@SB911 Hi, not a problem! This is the Eventuri Black Carbon Intake we installed $1,395 https://www.enjukuracing.com/products/eventuri-mercedes-w177-a35-c118-cla35-amg-a250-black-carbon-intake.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwu5yYBhAjEiwAKXk_eCKBh1OtmB-blY68o8XC20HbIS9YmvaRtu9euEOpNZYEsBckX7s9ShoCqUYQAvD_BwE This is the Armytrix down pipe installed $790. https://www.armytrixusa.com/armytrix-highflow-performance-race-downpipe-wcat-simulator-mercedesbenz-a35-amg-cla35-amg-20192021-p-153082517.html This is the invoice for the install and the tune. https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/review?uri=urn:aaid:scds:US:b46be7ac-df00-38cc-9c64-3492d4b9eab2 The install and the tune were installed at 29,839 miles as well as a oil change. The tune and general work on the A35 was performed by Modern Mercedes of Dallas. They are master certified Mercedes Technicians. I messaged them today them today to ask them full details on the tune but please note I have not dynod the car. The power is significant and consistent to what it was but I will work on more technical details for you from the tuner today. Invoice for the labor is above. Thanks!
The listing refers to the down pipe and intake along with a presumed increase of “30-40 horsepower”, but in your below comments you also mention a “PTG tune”. Would you mind cleaning that up so there’s no confusion as to the mods and additional calculated horsepower and torque. The date and mileage the mods were added along with where they were installed plus any supporting paperwork/documentation would also be appreciated. Thank you.
Thanks seller - if it has a "substantial similar" letter, that is the exception I was referring to. Very well done and very impressive work by your importer. Good luck with the sale, this is extremely cool.
LOts of back and forth here on importation. Seems the seller did their homework, leg work, and due diligence. Killer to see this available to us south of the border!
@savington Hi , CBP 7501 is not just an import form letter, CBP 7501 is the final letter anyone exporting needs to receive a original stamped version of prior to being able to export the vehicle. My letter was stamped on Aug 16 2022 as True Certified Copy (MBmarket has this letter). In order to recieve this letter the dealer in Canada provided me the check list items from registration, bill of sale and substantial letter requested by US Customs and Border Protection. This export took me around 5 months to make it happen and it was extremely tedious and expensive. I appreciate your interest in the car and look forward to your bid if you are interested in purchasing it. Thank you.
CBP 7501 is just the import form. Do you have any NHTSA forms showing that this specific car conforms to (or is exempt from) current NHTSA regs? Since the W177 A-class was never offered in the US, you would normally need an exemption, either in the form of a manufacturer "substantially similar" letter, or in the form of proof of destructive testing showing the car meets current crash standards.
@savington Hi, no, I dont know what you stated is but it was not exported as a show car, display car or with any exceptions. It was exported and I was provided CBP Form 7501 (12/29). Thank you
Seller, was this imported under destructive testing or substantially similar exemption?
@MBsMBz Yes, of course. I have all the docs submitted by the exporter from Canada, they inturn submitted it then we received the letter and release from the US Customs and Boarder patrol. From that point the car was shipped to me in a covered transporter to Dallas. I in turn had it registered with the same documents. Thanks
@amge63swagon Do you have EPA and NHTSA docs and copies of all import docs for the buyer?
Here is a walk around video and a drive video showing start up, race start and a short drive. Thank you https://youtu.be/B3LjtQtk0nU
@MBsMBz Hi, it was imported based on the information requested by US Customs and Border Patrol checklist and it is not a show car nor a display title. Thank you.
@Kcogliano Hi, it does have a PTG Tune and as noted a new intake kit and the downpipe.
@merlinautogroup Hi, unfortunately I do not have a window sticker.
It still doesn't really make a lot of sense that you were able to import this car to the US legally - was it imported as Show or Display? Do you have EPA and NHTSA documents for the buyer?
$27,500 bid placed by @merlinautogroup
Do you have a copy of the window sticker?
No ecu tuning?
Just recieved the oem AMG mats I ordered in and they look really great. I will add pictures to the gallery. All weather mats are also included.

Hi everyone and welcome to this auction. I have had a deep passion for the AMG hatchback after seeing it several times in Europe last year. I was able to export it out of Canada and after months and months of paper work it arrived late last year to Dallas. I have a few other vehicles that I hold with my Montana company so I registered this one with my company as well. I was able to title it since I do have the US Customs and Border Protection Entry Summary form. My title from Montana will transfer to the new buyer. Thanks again!
same question as the other commenters - how did you get this into the US?
This car just made me change my mind about the A Series. Sweet hatchback!!
$250 bid placed by @concavo
How does it have a US title? Can it be registered in other states too? Great colour combo and fun daily.
I didn’t know it was that easy to bring a new non federalized US car in from Canada. It’s probably the only one here.
