CBP 7501 is just the import form. Do you have any NHTSA forms showing that this specific car conforms to (or is exempt from) current NHTSA regs? Since the W177 A-class was never offered in the US, you would normally need an exemption, either in the form of a manufacturer "substantially similar" letter, or in the form of proof of destructive testing showing the car meets current crash standards.
Seller, was this imported under destructive testing or substantially similar exemption?
