@yaohgenuinely speaking that same thought came across my mind yesterday. i realized if my car sells on wednesday it will be nearly impossible to find another 2005 coupe spec in this special tellurium silver, let alone the original factory paint all around and a clean 2-owner history.
I believe you are confusing two entirely different mechanical systems here based on your statement/ question. The rear main seal RMS holds back engine oil at the rear of the engine block it has absolutely nothing to do with transmission fluid. To answer your question you never fill transmission fluid through an engine seal. The transmission is completely separate sealed unit. As I noted in my maintenance break down, the transmission has been meticulously cared for with 3 full transmission fluid and filter services and requires zero top-offs. It operates flawlessly as seen in the video. The rhythmic noise in the video is from the inside/ interior which is the 6 CD player shuffling through which happens all the time when the CD player is energized at start then noise is gone usually the cycle is 30-40 seconds long.
To all serious bidders and interested members as promised in my previous comment, I wanted to provide highlights of recent service history for the past 4 years on this CLK55. ~Aug. 2022 4 wheel laser alignment. ~ Sept. 2022 new Mercedes battery. ~Aug. 2023 new accessory belt and pulley. ~December 2023 Mass air and crankshaft position sensor replacement. ~August 2024 the radiator and thermostat replacement. ~March 2026 16 spark plugs replacement. ~July 2026 oil filter housing gaskets replacement, valve cover gaskets replacement, all new vacuum hoses, oil pressure plug gasket were replaced along with new oil filler cap. ~Along the years total of 3 transmission services/ fluid replacement latest in Sept. 2023 at 82k miles. ~Frequent oil change.
Hello everyone, welcome to the auction of this rare tellurium silver 2005 CLK55 AMG! The reason for the sale is due to work schedule that makes me gone for more than 20 days a month, I simply don’t have the time to drive or enjoy my collection anymore. I bought this car with the intention of keeping it long term which is why I immediately went ahead and proactively handled the typical age-related M113 refresh items which included oil filter housing gaskets replacement, valve cover gaskets replacement, all new vacuum hoses, new pressure plug gasket and new oil filler cap. Additionally, photos have been uploaded revealing how clean/ sludge free the top of the engine is for peace of mind. This car posses plenty of service/ preventive maintenance records than I will post in the comment section tonight. The car has a minor RMS seep which is extremely common and expected on these engines that being said,, it’s a minor seep and can be driven without any issues. Good luck to all bidders!
@proturner1you hit the nail on the head! the hand-built 5.4 liter M113 engine is arguably the most reliable and bulletproof AMG engine ever built while also retaining a simple robust design without the need for camshaft adjusters that usually require repairs/replacement.
Hello, was wondering why you chose 10-W60 oil for the m156? also the car looks very clean.
As we enter the final stretch of the auction I want to share a quick perspective on what makes this specific generation so special for Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts. The R172 SLK55 AMG stands as the most powerful and fastest production SLK ever built making 415 horse power delivered from its hand-built naturally aspirated V8 and a factory raised 174 MPH top speed courtesy of the rare P30 Performance Package that does 0-60 in only 4.2 seconds, this model represents the pinnacle of the V8 hard top roadster era. I am available and would be happy to assist with any questions. Good luck to all bidders!
@Mackdadaeyes, the front bumper, hood and fender have been professionally repainted by the previous owner solely to address cosmetic road rash and freeway rock chip this work was entirely elective to maintain the car’s premium aesthetic presentation as shown in the photos provided.
Hello and welcome to the auction everyone. Thanks for checking out my 2013 SLK55 AMG P30 It has been a fantastic car to own and I am looking forward to finding its new caretaker. My goal is a straight forward, honest and transparent sale feel free to drop any questions here in the comments section. Additionally if you need specific photos, videos or want to discuss logistics you can reach out privately using the “Contact Seller” button Good Luck everyone!
