This 2005 Mercedes-Benz C55 AMG was sold new by Mercedes-Benz of El Dorado Hills, California and remained with its original owner for nearly 16 years. The current owner acquired the car in 2021 and has kept it in California since. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Gray Nappa Leather (848), power comes from a hand-built 5.4-liter M113 V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Factory equipment includes staggered 18” AMG double-spoke wheels, heated AMG sport seats, a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, Bi-Xenon headlamps, aluminum interior trim, premium audio, and factory blue-tinted heat-insulating glass. A Kenwood head unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto has been installed along with upgraded front speakers, while the original audio components are included in the sale. This C55 is 1 of 1,299 U.S. examples and the odometer currently shows 44,322 miles. Recent service includes a B Service, front lower control arms, rear tires, and a four-wheel alignment in 2025, followed by a new battery and an A Service with air-pump replacement in 2026. This C55 is now offered in Aptos, California with service records from new, factory books, the original head unit and speakers, first-aid kit, unused spare and tool kit, and a clean Carfax report.
The body is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features AMG-specific sculpted front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and quad chrome exhaust outlets. Exterior equipment includes Bi-Xenon headlamps, fog lamps, an electric tilt/slide glass sunroof, and factory blue-tinted heat-insulating glass. The car presents very well overall, with minor rock chips visible around the front bumper. More noticeable wear is limited largely to the underside of the front lip, which shows scratches and a crack near the center. The driver-side front marker lens was previously replaced after developing a small crack. The seller reports no rust and notes that the car has spent its entire life in California, typically garaged or kept under cover.
Staggered 18” AMG double-spoke wheels measure 7.5” wide up front and 8.5” at the rear and are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires measuring 225/40R18 and 245/35R18, respectively. The front tires show late-2020 date codes, while the rear pair dates to late 2024 and were installed in July 2025. The seller reports that the right-front and right-rear wheels were professionally reconditioned following minor curb rash and now present like new. The C55 is equipped with AMG sport suspension with AMG 4-piston calipers and cross-drilled rotors in the front, and 2-piston calipers with standard rotors in the rear.
The cabin is upholstered in Gray Nappa Leather (848) with aluminum trim across the dashboard, center console, and doors. Amenities include heated power-adjustable AMG sport seats with memory, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power glass sunroof, cruise control, and premium audio. The factory head unit has been replaced with a Kenwood unit providing wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while slightly upgraded front speakers and a small amount of sound insulation were added to the front doors. The original headunit and front speakers are included with the sale. The interior remains in very good condition overall, with minor scuffing on the driver-side door panel. Additional age-related wear includes light peeling around a steering-wheel button and scuffing on the leather shift knob.
The leather-wrapped AMG sport steering wheel features shift buttons and fronts AMG instrumentation consisting of a 200-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer, and digital gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. A configurable central display provides trip, gear-selection, and vehicle information. The digital odometer currently indicates 44,322 miles.
Power comes from AMG’s naturally aspirated 5.4-liter M113 V8, factory rated at 362 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels. The accompanying service records document regular dealer and specialist maintenance from new. Valve-cover gaskets were replaced during earlier ownership, while a 2019 service included front brake rotors, brake fluid, engine and cabin air filters, an oil change, and a power-steering fluid flush. A comprehensive service at 23,874 miles in November 2021 included spark plugs, a crankshaft position sensor, serpentine belt, idler pulley, brake-fluid flush, engine and cabin filters, and an oil and filter change. In July 2023, the transmission was removed to replace the rear main seal and cover, while a seeping transmission electrical connector was also replaced. An accelerator sensor was replaced in February 2024. At 41,428 miles in July 2025, a B Service was completed along with replacement of both front lower control arms, installation of new rear tires, and a four-wheel alignment. A new battery followed in January 2026, and the most recent service at 43,646 miles in July 2026 included an A Service, oil and filter change, ventilation filter, and replacement of the air pump after its bearing became noisy.
The Carfax report shows 14 service history records and three previous owners, with registration history exclusively in California. The original owner kept the car for nearly 16 years, while the current owner has owned it since 2021. No accidents or damage reports are shown along with linear mileage updates from new. The sale includes service records dating back to new, factory books, the original audio equipment, first-aid kit, unused spare and tool kit, and an unused WeatherTech driver-seat cover.
