The seller has added a detailed video covering the soft top actuation, cold start, underside tour, walkaround, and driving video:
Only 143 CLK63 AMG Cabriolets were produced for the 2007 production year making these extremely rare cars. The pre-facelift CLK55 AMG had the naturally aspirated M113 making a respectable 362 horsepower and 372 foot-pounds of torque. However, the ground up AMG built M156 introduced in the facelift W209 was a Herculean upgrade. It was a dripping adrenaline needle that harpooned the chest of the W209 giving it over100 horsepower and torque over the older iteration. The 6.2-liter V8 was in another league over the M113 – this was exotic V8 territory and it's a treat that Mercedes-Benz stuck it in the W209. Let us tell you, this is a lot of motor for the A209. We’ve driven a few of these and they are ballistic when you get past 4,000 RPM. With the foldable soft top, you get to hear the baleful roar of the M156 better than any other AMG. We’ve laid eyes and hands on this example and it’s in concourse condition poised to win trophies at any Mercedes-Benz judged show. The lengthy video that accompanies the car combs through its intricacies and the videographer, Stuttgart Steel, struggles to find any faults with this example. After musing about this era of AMG over dinner, all of us at The MB Market agree that these are criminally undervalued compared to the driving experience and engineering they deliver. We will be reading click-bait articles about this era of AMG in ten – fifteen years from now and waxing nostalgia about this being the golden era.

$2,500 bid placed by @TBarton
Good afternoon All! Just wanted thank y'all for stopping by. I dare say you would be Very hard pressed to find a cleaner, crisper example of this car. IMHO, they are still undervalued for what you get. Couple of items I'd like to expand upon: The NOS intake on this car is now NLA (No Longer Available) from MB, when it was they were quite proud, around $3600 proud plus labour, a very fortuitous part to have! We run all of our M156's on a true/full synthetic oil, in this case Redline 10/60 which has 1225ppm zinc and 1375ppm phosphorus, couple the superior base stocks and together your camshaft/tappet wear is no longer a concern. We did scope these lobes and they all look As New. On the topic of head bolts, I'm keenly aware of the Internets belief that this is an guaranteed failure, but in our experience it is far, far more the exception vs the norm. We have a fleet of early M156's being put through their paces with north of 100K miles on original bolts. IMHO, proper coolant flushes every 5 or so years also goes a long way towards keeping corrosion under control and bolts subsequently happy. Beyond that, the photos and video speaks of the car and it's condition. Everything works exactly as it should and shows of an example with a fraction of the mileage.
