One final note, it’s unfortunate that the car shows some dings and scrapes from its 14 year service as a daily driver/family hauler, all are very minor and most unnoticeable from only a few feet away. And there are a few interior plastic pieces that have not held up as well as one would have hoped for. But this vehicle has had regular oil changes (every 7500 miles under my watch), transmission and all gearboxes have been well cared for. The brakes were done by the previous owner just before I bought the car and since I drive mostly highway miles which isn’t hard on brakes I haven’t needed to do anything with them. If someone had to have the timing chains and oil cooler seals done out of pocket those 2 items alone would exceed the value of the car. Not to mention over 1 year remaining on the Bluetec/AEM warranty. The car may be a good candidate for a delete & tune, if your into that kind of thing, I’m not. Happy Friday and Happy Bidding! @manyMBthe timing chains would chatter for 2-3 seconds upon cold start up. M-B have a way to measure the timing chain stretch and determine if they need replaced. It’s a fairly common issue on the OM642, was covered under the Bluetec/AEM warranty and done at Mercedes of Des Moines. Hope this answers your question.
