This 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Cabriolet was originally sold by Fletcher Jones Imports and registered in Las Vegas, Nevada in November 2006 where it remained through 2015 when it moved to North Carolina and subsequently Georgia. The car is finished in Calcite White (650) over Beige Nappa leather (805), and powered by a hand-built 6.2-liter M156 V8 paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. This cabriolet remains one of only 143 2007 CLK63 Cabriolets imported to the United States. Equipment includes Bi-xenon headlights, Burled Walnut trim, power-adjustable heated seats, COMAND infotainment, navigation, a Harman Kardon Sound System, and dual-zone automatic climate control. This car has remained under service by various Mercedes-Benz dealers and independent shops with recent work including head bolts, engine mounts, transmission mount, a limit switch, transmission service, and an oil change. This CLK63 AMG Cabriolet has 87k miles and is now offered in Georgia with two keys, manufacturer's literature, a clean Carfax report and a clean Georgia title.
Finished in Calcite White (650), this CLK63 AMG features a black power soft top that folds away under a paint-matched tonneau cover. AMG-specific bodywork includes sculpted bumpers and side skirts along with a trunk spoiler and dual chrome AMG-stamped exhaust outlets. Exterior features include Bi-Xenon headlamps with Active Cornering, Parktronic at the front and rear, and keyless entry on the door handles. The seller reports the exterior paintwork is believed to be original and aside from minor rock chips at the nose, blemish-free.
The 18″ AMG alloy wheels retain their original finish and are mounted with 225/40 front and 255/35 rear Continental tires with 2018 date codes. Stopping power is provided by multi-piston AMG-branded calipers over cross-drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners.
The cabin is trimmed in Beige Nappa Leather (805) across the seats, doors, armrest, and lower dashboard. The upper dash and shift knob are finished in a contrasting dark beige and burled walnut trim adorns the center console and doors. Appointments include power adjustable heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a Harman Kardon sound system, and COMAND infotainment with navigation.
The contoured leather-wrapped AMG steering wheel is equipped with paddle shifters and frames a 200-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 87k miles from new.
The hand-assembled 6.2-liter M156 V8 was factory rated at 475 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through an AMG Speedshift seven-speed automatic transmission. An oil change and transmission service were performed in preparation for the sale along with the following recent services: head bolts, engine mounts, transmission mount, and a new a limit switch. Additional photos of the underbody are included in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists linear mileage updates since new. This CLK63 AMG Cabriolet is now offered with two keys, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax, and a clean Georgia title.
A video below shows a cold start along with a detailed look at the engine bay and the soft top in operation.
The mad scientists at AMG are no strangers to the wolf-in-sheep's-clothing concept and with the introduction of the CLK63 AMG Cabriolet, this familiarity was reinforced and solidified. Often overlooked for the CLK63 AMG Black Series, the cabrio offers a dynamically different but equally fun driver experience while arguably improving the human experience with a convertible top. Performance aside, this is one of the rarest modern AMG cars with less than 250 total examples imported to the United States under two years of production. Maximizing driver experience, performance, and rarity is the name of the game and we’re confident the next owner will agree upon first start.

I saw this one too late!😞
looking on KBB, it would seem this bid should have won. Perhaps there's a premium for these collector websites https://www.kbb.com/mercedes-benz/clk-class/2007/clk-63-amg-cabriolet-2d/
More like condolences. RNM, would have been a good buy. Can’t be far off IMO.

@jrduncan3 all the top end gaskets were replaced whilst doing the head bolts. Valve covers, spark plug tubes, camshaft adjuster covers. There are no current leaks. There are some underbody photos in the gallery. If you’d like any close up or specific photos please let me know!

Are you aware of any service that needs to be done on this car such as valve cover gaskets? Are there any oil leaks?

@MDPensfan The head bolts were replaced solely to provide peace of mind and value to the next owner. Whenever an M156 car is sold, usually the first question is if it has updated head bolts and we didn’t want that to be the case with this car. There has been no subsequent coolant usage or warning lights. We are a highly experienced shop and have replaced many sets of head bolts. Very good question though, please let me know if you have any more!
I assume it was an engine light that precipitated the head bolts replacement, correct? Any lights or loss of coolant since?
$6,000 bid placed by @Mackdadae
@Gamma500 one at a time, with engine block completely drained. The most common method unless one of the bolts has already failed.
$5,250 bid placed by @Ramrattan
Head bolt update via " one bolt out, one bolt in " method or "head gaskets/bolts" technique ? Thanks
