Very impressive ‘Hammer’ and as we know these are definitely in rarefied field! Following this one since first listed and never had any doubts despite some of the comments herein. In fact, I have followed sellers’ auctions here and on the other site always impressed with the selections. For comparison: AMELIA ISLAND AUCTIONS 2025 1988 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG 300 E 6.0 'HAMMER Lot 136 sold for $753,000 And, from the CarandDriver Archives: https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a15141447/mercedes-benz-amg-hammer-archived-test-review/ Tested: 1986 Mercedes-Benz AMG Hammer With reference to Richard Buxbaum, AMG of North America. @Stuttgart_Steel, my compliments on this outstanding presentation!
This is a no excuses, no apologies A124 Cabriolet — The right color combination, right condition, low-miles, and all needed items addressed! These M104/103 engines are generally trouble free, easily maintained as I’ve personally experienced with my own and also with multiple straight-six variants over the decades. It is quite noteworthy to review the near $18k of documented repairs, parts replacements and/or servicing, not unexpected on any 30 years young vehicle even with low-miles such as this one. I do not see that the convertible top hydraulics have been serviced. Time is time, and items simply need attending to… This gorgeous Cabriolet with extensive recent maintenance is an excellent choice!
Beautiful SLC! @Silverarrowauto, Undercarriage photos are absolutely necessary and any maintenance history should also be added to the listing. Considering the scant details in the Carfax, the near 30-year owner should have an extensive file of records 😉
