@MDPensfanthere is no staining, that’s just where it creases when you sit down. Electronics are all functioning.
@dub671 paintwork was done under prior ownership.
@RBBrooke No reserve! Bid with confidence.
@Axle all lamps are working properly, bulb warning is off. Trans was serviced at 100k in 2012 shocks have not been replaced, though with these they rarely fail.
@Jgrey86$1200-1500
@Jgrey86yes, shipping is fine
@JPNMBZno, out of state buyers will handle sales tax in their home state.
Hey everyone, making note that we have installed a factory radio back in this E55. Best wishes!
@JMRIEGELwe like seeing them stay close to home!
@CICBarkeep I had a graphite S55. Great spec car. Documentation/story of the car is worth everything these days.
@CICBarkeep lots of invoices are good! Yes oil leaks have been addressed. Mainly the rear main which many elect not to do due to the cost.
@RBBrookethe transmission mount was still in good shape. We are happy to put one in if the high bidder would like.
I received the pleasure of experiencing this car. What an insane machine. The 156 in the 204 chassis is already fabulous and this takes it to the next level of insanity and not to the point that it’s too much power which is a plus. Build is of quality too which isn’t always the case with modifications. Excited to see where it ends up!
@Daniel75 Cruise control is usually the amplifier/control unit so not too difficult usually. Same with sunroof, could just be a seized motor. I wouldn't expect extensive repairs for either. As far as headlamp wipers, we don't like to test them in fear of scratching the headlamps as the wipers are always rock hard and falling apart. Not a feature that is used in the modern era anyhow. As far as making a daily driver, that can take you down a rabbit hole. With this one though, It is very nice as is and I would just drive it and see if anything comes up. Freshening the other fluids, diff, brake fluid, etc. would be good practice.
As the repairing shop, we are open to any questions related to this car. Honestly it is amazing to see one this nice and hopefully it will stay local to GA so we can continue to see it! Bringing this one back was such a joy.
@ksegg Will do, what chassis?
@Vlad600sellong tube Headers would be the winner on this one!
@AMG_Mechanicthat’s awesome, there’s only a select few :)
@jrduncan3all the top end gaskets were replaced whilst doing the head bolts. Valve covers, spark plug tubes, camshaft adjuster covers. There are no current leaks. There are some underbody photos in the gallery. If you’d like any close up or specific photos please let me know!
@MDPensfanThe head bolts were replaced solely to provide peace of mind and value to the next owner. Whenever an M156 car is sold, usually the first question is if it has updated head bolts and we didn’t want that to be the case with this car. There has been no subsequent coolant usage or warning lights. We are a highly experienced shop and have replaced many sets of head bolts. Very good question though, please let me know if you have any more!
@Gamma500one at a time, with engine block completely drained. The most common method unless one of the bolts has already failed.
Happy bidding everyone, we look forward to seeing our V8 sleeper sedan going to a new, loving home! Please do not hesitate with any questions you may have.
The 80's at its finest. Of the Hammers, the coupe is our favorite body style. Best wishes on the sale.
Reserve has been lifted!!!! Happy bidding, this car is going to a new home! @Jnicholson @okchawkeye
@CoachmuleYes all the mounts have been replaced
@BJK6218was able to find out that the complaint was “whining noise present on takeoff and will not shift” technician found metal debris in the pan which necessitated transmission replacement.
@BJK6218unfortunately do not have that information. The VMI only provides basic information and it is at the discretion of that dealer to release RO details. I will see if I can find out though!
@FXRcR1 Thank you we are very proud of this one!
@OthoThank you!
